Looking at a long girls weekend witht the girls in Albufeira. Close to bars and restaurants and not a shit hole. Im 35 now the 1* holiday apartments are a thing of the past. Anyone any recommendations?

Flew to Derry from Manc on Sunday with ……..aghhhh Ryan air. First we were delayed 2 hrs as they didn’t have enough cabin crew, they finally managed to get one from somewhere, started to taxi ready for take off then a call came through from Derry airport that we’re having a 40 min break, finally got away 3 hours after scheduled take off time for a 40 min flight.

Currently sat in Derry airport with a 1 hour delay.

Small place called Fanad, famous for its lighthouse near Portsalon Beach. Had a mixture of weather, but didn’t stop us (just me and my 2 eldest) from doing what we wanted to do. Surfing, climbing, crabbing, pier jumping, shooting etc etc. my parents have had a holiday home over there for 30 years…..this was my first visit 🤦‍♂️ Maybe I should add this to my regrets in the looking back thread!

Just had a beautiful long weekend in Enniscorthy, Wexford so other end- beaches round there were stunning. What a gorgeous place.

Just returned from 14 days on Ile De Re which was great but everything is so expensive. Not sure if it's a post Covid thing or cost of living but I don't remember eating and drinking in France costing this much, London prices plus a bit more.

Ile de Re has always been more expensive than most of France.
I've not been for a few years but I love that whole area, Rochelle, Re, Oleron, Royan, Saintes, Cognac etc.

Straight through security at T3 this morning with no issues at all. 8.30 am. 

Had no issues going or returning through Manchester. Bags took a while to start, maybe half an hour but usually you wait a while at immigration but was clean through.

Inspire lounge in T2 was busy but still better than queuing for food in the restaurants. I thought the new T2 would be a lot bigger airside than before but it didn't seem that way?

Oh and the general public are dicks. Why do folk not realise that assisted people board 1st, then premium, then normally a block of rows. Why stand ten abreast right in front of the boarding gate with your carry on cases getting in every fuckers way!? 

Tui are cunts but their premium seat service was top-notch to and from Dominican, plenty of drink rounds. Not convinced flying to the Caribbean is necessary for decent service, we've had better in Sensatori Egypt without paying the upgrade we did.

We had a concierge as we paid for upgraded room (not usual, covid cancelled 2 holidays so spashed out) and he was the difference between a nice holiday and a great one.

The Level is a must, you will not enjoy it anywhere near as much without, it really is two levels of service and I am so glad we were on the right side of it.
