Starling are brilliant. No charges for debit cards abroad and exchanges at spot rate. 
 

No charges for atm use either but you can’t avoid the charge of the bank who’s machine you are using. 
 

but overall I wouldn’t recommend anyone else

I use Halifax Clarity, never had a problem with that, decent/bank exchange rate on purchases.

Never used it at an ATM so not sure of charges

Definitely recommended. It’s also cheap to transfer money abroad. If you have to.

I use it for some stocks, some crypto and the Junior account for my lad. 

Use monzo too for the joint account. 

Just and FYI don't use it for crypto... I hadn't done for a few years until I sold some stocks... Then bought crypto with a 2.5% fee... 

Still use Revolut. Been spot on.

Ditto.  No atm charges from Halifax’s end,  only charge if the foreign bank charges for atm use.

Do they not charge interest on cash withdrawals though? 

I've got a fair fx euro card and a revolut card. I've had the fair fx card from when they used to give you a bonus if you converted over a set amount but I'll probably get rid of it when it expires as the rate is a bit pants (used to be OK with the bonus)
