I suspect anybody interested would be only interested in the football side of Wigan and not the Warriors so why doesn’t he just split that off and move it to a more suitable stadium and leave Wigan football to themselves? He’s said numerous times he isn’t interested in Athletic and will probably never invest either money or interest in them.

He could kick the football side out and they could ground share with us.

Correct, the Poole's Chunky Steak the highlight of a few visits to their ground. Sacrilege when Whelan froze them out and replaced them with Hollands 

Had a season ticket at Wigan RL for many years in the 80s/90s. Wanderers on a Saturday, Wigan RL on a Sunday. No recollection if it was Poole’s or Galloway’s they did at Central Park but they were the best pies I’ve ever had. Absolutely went to ratshit when RL moved stadium so pegleg is a cunt for yet another reason

I can see Wrexham and even Swansea but Wigan?? Why on earth would any celebrity want to be linked to that shower? If Dansons not prepared to put his own money into the team why should anybody else, celebrity or not?

My guess is he did it for the town of Wigan 

Not interested in football but at the same time didn't want to see the community lose its club
