WOW....what a day....what an occasion!! Boby, I couldn't believe you saw me taking the pic so far away 🤣 Roll on Sydney!!!

  • Got too love the Aussies.😅 Loads of Bolton fans here.  We were at the traffic crossing yesterday and an Aussie/British family stood next to us. The young lad, about 9, kept staring at my son’s

just fold the test team and stick to the short format stuff imo

Oh aye. Also disband the Royal Family, release all jailed scousers and Corbyn for PM until he draws his last breath.

Brave new world.

There surely would be an investigation into match fixing if that happened 🙂

Was with a couple of keen Aussie cricket fans (believe it or not sampling a new tequila produced by none other than former Australian wicket keeper Adam Gilchrist called "El Arquero" - The Keeper. Very smooth for tequila) last night and their slant on things was greatly different to the general consensus on here.

Scathing about the Aussie performance in the first test, and uncomplimentary about their Adelaide victory. Their conclusion was roughly "Australia have been shit but the Poms even shitter". You can probably guess what their assessment of Bazball was.

As Boby said, 5 great days of test cricket. For a while yesterday we felt we could get the runs, but it was always a big ask. Cummins and Lyon out of Melbourne and possibly Sydney tests. I’m expecting Pope and possibly Duckett to be omitted with Bethell given a chance in Melbourne.

Adelaide is a fantastic ground for cricket, almost 203,000 attending over the 5 days.

We fly to Melbourne this afternoon. Looking forward to what will be a lifetime dream to be at the MCG on Boxing Day.

My best mate has just flown out there, doing the Boxing Day test and some other sporting stuff for his 60th. Enjoy the MCG and, hopefully, the game 👍

One of those places even when empty still makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

Lambeau Field is another as was Burnden Park for me. I suppose history is something which can be felt.

Have a great time.

Shame the team as weak as piss and we have nothing to play for

They were probably all out before lunch

Archer out injured for last 2 tests Pope dropped.

So with Wood and Archer both out again, I wonder in Stokes and Brendan can see the flaw in their all out pace attack ?

can see duckett being dropped to

silly boy

Easy to drop someone when you are 3 down. Says a lot about the management when players are in that state.

Time to move on from archer

Cricket shouldn't be getting a never mind the amount he spends out

Before 1st test - Dead excited. It's coming home.

1st Test - Best chance of winning given the advantage we were given. Should have won but blew it. FFS!

2nd Test - Day/nighter and still positive. Folded like a pack of cards. Not surprised but still a FFS!

3rd Test - 75% of my interest has evaporated after the first 2. FFS!

4th Test - Couldn't care less.  No waking up dreading to check the score through squinted eyes.

5th Test - I'll probably be hating cricket by then. We Would have won this Ashes series under a Tory government and with Mike Brearley as skipper.

15 off the 6th over.

Not sure we have bowled a ball on the wickets yet.

Goodnight.

Unless we get line tighter….

Boxing Day test 2025 at the MCG.

Living the dream!!

So pleased for Tongue and Atkinson. Certainly stepped up to the mark today.

Duckett is a bad un.

5 balls!!!

He'll be off into the city now for Happy Hour 4-7.

Happy Boxing Day from Melbourne. Enjoy the highlights. 😩

And it seems that you are loving it.

We are simply lulling them into a false sense of security.

Far from it.

I've stayed up for most sessions.

Complete waste of time

94,199 here today. Another record attendance for a Test Match at the MCG.

Bazball/Travball, something is working. 👍🏏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

They must be well "lulled" by now 🙂

Yet Test Cricket is dying on its arse. Equivalent to boxing to how it far it's fallen.

Sure, it gives English people a chance to get pissed in the sun for a few weeks (and let's face it, that's all it's good for), but viewership is at an all-time low and coverage just getting worse.

It'll just be 4 teams playing it in a few years.
