The Queen

Seems to have taken a turn for the worse.

She is 96.

  • RIP. Very sad.  Whether you're Royalist, anti-Royalist or somewhere in between.  For the vast majority of us, she's been our Queen for all our lives.  Feels strange that it's no longer the case.

  • She did this. And she probably didn’t have to because she was the Queen. But she did. What a woman.

Apparently someone got arrested for asking 'who elected him' at one of those local council proclamation job.

That's bollox if it's true.

He was removed for shouting "Who elected him?" during the proclamation.

The proclamation is an official proceeding and people have often been removed from official proceedings if they make an attempt to interrupt or disturb them.

It's no different to walking into a court room dufing cross examination and declaring everyone involved to be a cunt.

I'd he'd shouted God Save the King would he have been arrested?

No

Thats not a breach of the peace.

As with anything, a certain amount of common sense needs to be applied.

The guy, to be fair to him, showed some bollocks to shout that out in a crowd clearly full of emotional royalists.

The content of what he said was about right, mind you.

But still, there are times and places and that wasn’t it for a lot of reasons.

How about this one? It's all getting fucking weird now.

If it was thought it was an attempt to interrupt or disturb the proceedings, yes. But it should be obvious why someone shouting God Save the King is less likely to be interpreted as that.

By his own admission, he shouted his objection to the proclamation loudly enough for "two or three people" to tell him to shut up, with him "responding" with an opinion.

I’m offended

Some basic event stewarding roles in Edinburgh next Monday £200 for 12 hours including free travel both ways, that bloke might have just put an extra 50p on the hourly rate.

Are they looking for any fat, bald, miserable, middle-aged cunts?

Indeed.

Apparently someone got arrested for holding up a blank piece of paper.

Bit harsh.

I'm not judging anyone here. I just think people being yanked away for shouting isn't a great look.

This person has been told to go into a form of mourning, perhaps he wanted to go about his business

Hes a cunt

Just show respect or stay away

I hope he has no need for a knife and fork for months

It was two members of the public that took him down.

The police just led him away.

Really? That's North Korea/Saudi Arabia-style talk.

So he called a nonce, a nonce.

I am aware that the person hoiked away was in Scotland. However I think the following link is of interest

https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/offences-during-protests-demonstrations-or-campaigns

In Munim Abdul v DPP [2011] EWHC 247 (Admin), the court held that when considering the interaction between the section 5 offence and Article 10, the following principles apply:

The starting point is the importance of the right to freedom of expression.

In this regard, it must be recognised that legitimate protest can be offensive at least to some – and on occasions must be, if it is to have impact. Moreover, the right to freedom of expression would be unacceptably devalued if it did no more than protect those holding popular, mainstream views; it must plainly extend beyond that so that minority views can be freely expressed, even if distasteful.

There is more…

Be respectful to a man who borrowed millions of pounds of tax-payers money from his mother in order to hush a sexual abuse victim? Prince Andrew should be nowhere near any of these public events.

No wonder Saville got away with it for so long.

Be respectful to the family

Its not that difficult to grasp, even for you

Imo, hes a disrespectful twat

Nobody forced him to be there, he wanted attention and got it

It's not difficult at all, you're right. It's also not difficult to understand why the lad felt disgusted enough to do what he did.

Or

Gob off but don’t complain when you spend the next fortnight shitting your own teeth out.

People who try and compare us to North Korea/Saudi etc are obviously drama queens. It’s full of them on social media and no surprise to see one on here.
