More to it than the headline I reckon, however carrying eggs is a bit random when a coffin is being driven past is a bit suspect. 

Don't want to be treated like a dick? Simple don't act like one.. Police won't have arrested him without good reason, and we all know full what they planned. Of course when they throw them, the police should have done more etc. 

Nations in a state of mourning and these people just want to cause upset. Same as the scumbags at the Liverpool match...No need for it.

 I’d guess (and hope) that the arresting officers would have used their training and made a call on that.

thinking about it, why would you go there with eggs in anycase. 
was probably judging him by thinking of normal people with shopping.

Nation is in a state of mourning.. it's a collective term (and official term) for the period between the death and the funeral.

No it's not. That isn't the official term at all.

And you're correct I'm not. In fact I don't know a single person who is. My mum said it was a bit sad, but not sure that equates to mourning.

I'm a huge fan of the royals, and was planning on driving down to London this weekend with the wife to queue and walk past the coffin. Unfortunately other things have got in the way. We've had a funeral today and it's all a bit much.

It's just a turn of phrase though, isn't it?

I'd be very surprised if there were people who thought literally every citizen of the country is in mourning.

I'm not saying they should or shouldn't be playing it before a game, but if Rangers etc want to do it, then they should do it.

I'm not mourning, nor do I feel any grief.

I empathise with the members of the Royal Family who lost an aunt or a grandmother, as I've gone through that myself in the past, but I've no personal feelings about it all.

Pensioners die all the time, it's part of the aging process, sadly. At least she's had a good life, well looked after. I'd be more inclined to grieve over those likely to freeze/starve over the coming winter, because they can't afford to put the heating on etc, but that's another issue.

That said, I wouldn't feel inclined to go and disrupt somebody else's grieving process and I also apologise if any of my cynicism offends any of you who are grieving the loss of the monarch or a family relative.
