  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

What are three top issues in the country ?

1 Economy

2 NHS

3 Immigration

IMO.

Not sure how it fits or where but somehow breaking people’s long term reliance on benefits is up there

Then world issues such as Ukraine, Trump and Gaza but in terms of ‘in the country’ what comes ahead of the above ?

The front pages of every national newspaper today was about immigration.

Those bloody billionaires pushing the narrative eh 🤣👌

This poll is a fair reflection imo.

Absolute nonsense 🤦‍♂️

What is nonsense? As I replied to RW the real issue if the out of control immigration by legal methods.  That isn't to say we should be reducing those coming over on small boats, of course we should.

I’m old enough to remember when we were told Brexit would ensure this wouldn’t be an issue.

We had the same migration system before as we do now.

Totally inadequate, and being taken the piss out of.

Weak altitudes by lily livered leaders.

I presume your constant reference to the b word is just wumming, but it is wide of the mark nevertheless.

The problem is a Europe wide one. There have been many initiatives by the EU to try and control the illegal or irregular migration whatever people want to call it. We’ve been talking for years about the rise of the Far Right in mainland Europe as a result. A move to the right here is inevitable unless this government can get a grip of it.  Most thought the channel would be our deterrent. It isn’t.

To an extent but we had more power whilst in the EU , to both insist on tighter control and have a presence , ie the border was in French soil.
as you say though, it was never any different
as stated before , the boats are only a small proportion of the overall problem you only have to look at Ireland to see that there no difference being in ir out of the Eu when it comes to issues of problems with immigration

The previous government pretty much opened the floodgates.

Brexit made it easier not harder.

Starmer needs to sort it but let’s not pretend it’s his fault we’re in this position, because that’s demented.

Blair also didn't much help the situation either - both sides are to blame for the mess we currently find ourselves in. Brexit was largely about getting control of our borders, it seems to have failed in that respect

we can't ignore the fact that if we don't get young folk in, the whole thing is going to come to a crashing halt

too many folk not contributing and too much going out

both birth rates and death rates are too low

That's bang on.

Hence we need proper economic migrants who are here to do a bit.

Not the current shower of shit that arrive by the boat or through the front door legally.

Cheese will probably pop along later to tell you that all the boat arrivals will be easily assimilated into the british workforce.

The point continues to fly over your head, and will do until you're wondering why everything's even worse after you've voted for Nigel.
