I don’t even remember when it was. Was it during the Southport riots ?

 He’s lost his career over it. I expected he’d be guilty, but can see why it’s a hard one to prosecute given the new evidence. It’s how likely people are to act on it too. Many others have got away with threatening language as well, he’s not the only one.

For what it's worth, I think it less an issue of the offence being proven and more a case of jury nullification

The public seems not to want to convict people for this kind of thing

This isn’t a defence of him. I just find it odd that people argue it’s two tier justice & corrupt when you can find similar outcomes for people across the political spectrum.

 The only comparison people are bringing up is a case where the Iass pleased guilty.
