First out of the bag. Home against Portsmouth.

Brilliant they have to travel up to us twice in a few days!

Could have been infinitely worse I guess.

This tournament is basically being hosted by the UniBol isn't it!

Just realised we have them at home again the following Saturday that is grim for them.

So far this season we've been drawn at home every time it was possible.

Barrow, United, Portsmouth

Salford, Villa

Barnsley

Home to Portsmouth ain't bad.

Good draw, happy with that

Could have been worse - away to them midweek !

likely would have had to play them at some point.

all other teams will be happy with that draw.

Definitely.

Difficult game for both.

And then we play them again a fortnight later. Tactical battle to say the least. Expect Pompey to push for the Wednesday so they can stay up here for the full period. Don’t think Sky get involved until the semi finals.

got a few fixtures to catch up on Portsmouth and also a trip to spurs in cup

looking at the teams left this is great opportunity to reach the final

I hope the final is drawn at Home 😁

Do you reckon they'll field a team as weak as they can and prioritise other competitions, or go for it?

Evatt has fielded decent sides throughout, albeit with some squad players getting starts.

they've sold 8800 for that

Fans ain’t happy manager under pressure for me promotion will be priority, yes you could say similar to us but by the sounds they haven’t got much strength in depth

i know we’ve had injuries recently but some will be back by the next round we have good options compared to others

Horwich RMI, back in 1989ish, played both the semi final (v Enfield) and the final (v Weymouth) of the GMAC Cup at home for some reason

Final was on a toss and Horwich won.

At least if we get to Wembley we won't be playing against them and probably 40k fans.

The only other two left in that would probably outnumber us are Bristol (much shorter journey) and Plymouth.

Went to that final, remember the Weymouth fans one had claret & blue hair to match the Weymouth kit. Great crowd on as well.

2007 play off final v Shrewsbury, over 61k crowd (a record for 4th tier play offs), they took 37k.

Conference play off 2015 v Grimsby, 47k there, not got breakdown but they easily outnumbered Grimsby so minimum 30k.

They don't get out much then? :)

A game against a club who bring a big crowd to Wembley would make it feel like a big occasion. I’m all for it being Plymouth or Bristol if we get there
