November 24, 20223 yr Wierd run of home draws continues. Last 3 seasons drawn at home 10 times in 3 competitions. The other 9: Bradford, Crewe, Fleetwood, Barnsley x 2, Stockport, Barrow, Villa, Salford. 2 aways, Wigan and Hartlepool, we must be due a good away draw next season.

November 24, 20223 yr It’s an absolutely awful fixture. For someone who has been an advocate of us doing well in this and wanting us to get to Wembley, this is a harsh dose of reality about everything that is wrong with these u21 sides being involved. I wish we didn’t have the embarrassment of having to go through this fixture. But now that we do I hope we knock them out. Same with the other u21 sides. Hopefully get all league one and two clubs to the quarters. This will really test my resolve keeping my 100% attendance in this comp so far.
November 24, 20223 yr Popular Post Founder members of the Football League. Scorers of the first ever League goal. Competed in the first match at Wembley. 4 time FA Cup winners. A history spent more time in the top flight than not, littered with internationals. Twice qualified for European football. ...now reduced to playing our nearest neighbours under 23 team. Its an absolute disgrace and downright piss take to ask any professional football club to play another teams kids in a professional fixture, yet alone a club with a history as rich as ours. We should properly boycot this.
