Anybody saying we didnt play well is an utter crank

Its difficult to know how well as we battered em from minute 1

By all means criticise the finishing but to say we didnt play well

Fucking hell, youre better off not watching div3 football

It wasn't just the finishing - which was poor from several players including Dapo and Bradley - but also the passing at times giving the ball away in dangerous positions that better opposition would capitalise on, Trafford's kicking - shit - and passages of play where we just couldn't get hold of it or punted aimless balls forward. OK it wasn't altogether horrendous, but there was a helluva lot that could be improved on and to some extent it didn't look as bad as it might have done had we been playing against a better team.

Of course we were the better team, but that's all the more reason not to let them get free shots and headers or run through our defence for a 1 on 1 with the goalie which they did. A solid 6 out of 10 for me.

And they were definitely motivated and doing their best so it's not from the lack of effort.

This is my opinion.

Sorry but Uniteds under 21s are not a crap team, vast majority of their squad would walk into most league one teams,  you only have to look at the players that have come through in the last decade.

Only counter point is im really not sure how good they are

Are uniteds trafs and bradleys not out on loan around europe?

I dunno, just a guess

Either way, the brakes were off and we totally dominated

30 efforts on goal, i think

Nice feet from Dapo - tap in for Bradley who looked offside TBH

He wasn't even close to being offside TBH

Ah right, didn’t realise.

Do we know when the draw is?

Could be a long trip ahead

From the quarter-final stage, there is no seeding or regional consideration which means those from the Northern section can face the Southern section teams.

Generally, if the fans aren't interested enough to turn up, its a fair bet the players aren't massively up for it either, its human nature.  Its like City scoring goals against Wycombe in the league cup, its handshakes rather than running off celebrating, and in tonight's case there must also be an element of looking a bit desperate if they celebrate goals against kids.

Which hopefully, together with attendances should be sending a message to the efl.

No u21s.

Is the semi final just a 1 game shoot out then and tough shit if you are the away team?

Just playing devil's advocate, but would any of their team get in Shrewsbury's?  Would they be physical enough?  We can often outfootball a footballing side (without necessarily scoring from open play) but if United or any other team have a couple of giants and play route one, they have a chance to beat us.  I don't think IE would claim that last night has any bearing whatsoever on if we can beat Exeter or Lincoln.

Draw Thursday lunch, 12.15 on Talksport Jim White show.

PNE, Birmingham, Sunderland, Hibs, Alty.

The MUu21s drew at Fleetwood (but losing the shootout)and beat Carlisle and Barrow. Then they beat Wolves u21s in a shootout.

If we get to the Pizza Trophy final or Wednesday get to cup quarter final then we will be able to play them the week after.
