Good professional performance, thank goodness, could have been 10.

So we're in the northern area semi final now , and quarter final overall I think. Two games from Wembley and it's Bolton Lincoln and Accrington through so far from the north with either port vale or Salford.

Not regionalised now.

"Champagne football" says the comms. White's lemonade more like.

Yes it's a win and there were a few moments of quality but for the most part it was poor against a kids side and the finishing was truly appalling.

As I said above, how did they qualify if they are so bad?

Or maybe, you're being a bit harsh on our performance (finishing apart).

Apart from accy & salford or port vale the there’s some potential travelling if drawn away

All u21 sides out now thank fuck

Reading Evatt's pre match interview-  could any of their youngsters do a job on loan here?

In that showing.  No

Would of expected a couple to stand out but none did.

The finishing was awful for the most part. Good to see these upset - yon kid tried a karate kick at the end.

Utds sub, the blonde lad was their best player but they were a bit shit.

Job done. Next

Hope we get Wimbledon away

I don't think so. It was similar to our recent league performances inasmuch that we gave the ball away far too often, played well but only in patches and can't finish.

They need to be Plymouth first

Exeter will murder us if we don't play better than that - and we won't get anywhere near as many chances.

Looking at the body language on the clip of the second, there isn't a great deal of enthusiasm.

Been that way quite a bit in the competition.

Perhaps the players aren't overly enamoured with it, especially other team's under 21s?

If so, then at least we can admire their professionalism.

I think they have probably qualified because the teams they have played have probably rested players or not took it seriously. Or they have better players who didn’t play tonight ? . To be honest it was men against boys and from a Man Utd perspective that’s what it’s about getting experience from ours we should of put it to bed a lot earlier

Afoylan our best player. Played some good football in spells. Dion was terrible should have had 2 or 3 himself.

Salford away would get the juices flowing if they beat Port Vale tomorrow

Generally, if the fans aren't interested enough to turn up, its a fair bet the players aren't massively up for it either, its human nature.  Its like City scoring goals against Wycombe in the league cup, its handshakes rather than running off celebrating, and in tonight's case there must also be an element of looking a bit desperate if they celebrate goals against kids.

When is the draw for the next round?

Yes that’s a good shout . probably hard to get to motivated especially when most will be playing on Saturday but yes professionally stuck to it and didn’t take the foot of last 5 minutes when most of the goals came

I enjoyed that, a good performance.

Usual idiots singing Munich songs in the corner. Did anyone see the half dozen united fans making a run for our end?

He has also scored more than Santos

Stewards stood around whilst that group twice ran towards crazy corner.

Same outside after the end as a large group of them were on the grass bank towards Tesco. Didn’t seem to be any plod at the game but they all turned up 10  minutes later.

Not rocket science that there was going to be trouble.

Enjoyed it even though it was freezing. We should've had way more than 4 goals. A fair score would've been 10-2.

Anybody saying we didnt play well is an utter crank

Its difficult to know how well as we battered em from minute 1

By all means criticise the finishing but to say we didnt play well

Fucking hell, youre better off not watching div3 football

I couldnt judge their age but they looked like schoolkids

I suspect the stewards dont need the grief that would come with manhandling the shitty little red twats
