July 27, 20233 yr Nothing compares to you was the only one of hers I could immediately remember. I knew she'd done other stuff but atill surprised how many albums shes done. I'll have to give some of her other stuff a listen this week. Presumably she topped herself? Poor lass.

Aye, but still a memorable voice at a key time for me. Don't know much about her, but from reports she clearly was prolific in recording (up to 2014 apparently) and composing.

Two weeks after she ripped up a picture of the pope she got boo-ed at all places 'Bobfest' a Bob Dylan tribute concert, and went onto to do a version of War by Bob Marley.

But also had no idea no one had heard of him. Interesting how locked off culturally a country can be due to politics. I got into him through I Am Kloot as they loved his album which is great.
