Cornwall

Me and some mates went to Cornwall on a lad's holiday when we were about 18-19...

Every afternoon/early evening we'd come back to the caravan for some tea and a smoke before going out for the night.

Every night on the telly there was new reports of sex crimes on their version of Granada Reports, different ones, every single night - for a week. They should have renamed the news 'Cornish Sexcase Rollcall'...

Based on my knowledge of one Cornish lass (32FF) I can confirm they're all anti-English.  Had this conversation a few times with her.  She claimed not to be English, but Cornish.  I said to her she can protest and whine as much as she likes, but she's English whether she likes it or not.

She even supports Wales when the egg chasing competitions are on.

Weird.

Best tits in the world though.

2 things? Any pics Daz?

Why are they anti English out of interest?

Alas, no Tomski.

It's a shame things didn't work out between the two of us.  You'd have enjoyed meeting her.

She never properly explained (or I never properly listened) but I got the impression it was a similar mindset as the Scotch and the Welsh.  She'd support whoever was playing against England.

To be fair I'm not surprised you didn't listen to her, better stuff to look at.

I thought they had more in common historically with the Bretons in Northern France than England? The Breton language I believe is very similar to Cornish and the rest of the Celtic languages and different from French (I think the Cornish actually settled in Brittany.) Which is also why those in Brittany see themselves as different from the rest of France and as part of the Celtic nations along with Wales, Scotland (which was historically populated by the Picts in the East before it was colonised by the 'Scots' from rather confusingly Ireland, in the West.) Ireland, Cornwall, and the Isle of Man.

So this is why the folk in Kernow see themselves differently as they have language and cultural ties with all of the above rather than Anglo Saxon England.

Oh and why you have names like Le Roy and Le Saux in the region, and as we're on a Henry V quoting tip this week as Henry goes round the camp before the battle of Agincourt in disguise to see how the troops are coping he is asked his name and he say Le Roy, to which Pistol replies, are thou of Cornish crew? And Henry replies he's a Welshman.

God I'm boring myself.

I think you'll find Le Roy is generally a black person's name.

Le Roy can often be found in Morris Green.

What if there was a Cornishman in the England team?
