  2. Like many, when we had our last game at Burnden I helped myself to some memrobelia being seat from the Burnden Stand. It’s sat in my parents garage for the last 28 years and they had a clear out this year. They made me this bar stool with the seat, absolute delighted with it.

  4. Merry Christmas to all, spend this precious time with your family. You don't have to even like them, but they're what have made to what you are. You'll miss them when they're gone. I know I do.

  5. Will collect mother tomorrow and take her to my brother’s in Bolton for Xmas dinner and enjoy being able to spend yet another Xmas day with her. At 88 I realise there’s not that many left. Mrs will be at her sister’s for Thai and a Sri Lankan curry that I made for them Boxing Day will be absolute hell. My worst day of the year. Every year without fail. Buffet. SiL will turn up at 2, slug a load of wine and scream at top volume. FiL will be loud and belligerent and bore everyone to death about The Massives. Step-daughters will turn up with cuntybollock boyfriends that I absolutely fucking despise and then to put the fucking top hat on it the SiL’s friends will turn up so we’ll have even more screeching pissed bellends pissing me off. Me and the grandkids will disappear and watch TV. None of my family bother turning up any more. I’ll get caned for being a miserable cunt and will loudly agree as per every year

  12. I agree its unrealistic to go with the same players for so many games, its not just physically its about them being fully motivated and up for every game they start, rather than them just getting by and maybe holding a bit back for another game 3 days later. Re McAtee, if he just gave us what he gave us last season and occasional appearances this year, he'd be an improvement on the current impact of Burstow, Dalby and Forss. If he'd played at their level he'd be getting pelters for being lazy or having a funny run.

  13. We will have sports scientists measuring every aspect of players fitness and fatigue. Players can not play so many games over such a short period and be at 100% throughout. Resting players for games is to minimise the chances of injuries which might keep them out longer. It is a run of games where teams with stronger squads should have an advantage. But we need squad players to step up and contribute. I have always liked Morley as a player but his contribution has dropped off. McAtee needs to be the player we have played against. God knows where Big Vic is in terms of fitness. The big question is who leaves and who comes in, players who have not had much game time might be needed over next 6 weeks, so if they go we need players in the manager knows can do a job asap. Which mean someone like Ryan Hardie could be a good fit if changes do happen.
