Aye. Could do with Rioch to facilitate it.

Went in fairly recently after a match as the missus picked us up. Plenty of fans came in gathering a few essentials (mainly ale)- must have spent a fair bit all told.

Poor bugger- just gone for a long swimming holiday and some one catches it.

Interesting little piece with Ali earlier. When asked about the pressure/sledging etc, he said simply, "the Australians like to talk and big themselves up..." and that it wouldn't bother him. Beginning to think there's a bit of insecurity behind them. Start well and their press/fans may well get on their backs.

Wonder if wankstain already has?

Top effort. Not normally into censorship but what a waste of reading time and breathing he was.
-
Perhaps he dare not reveal them whilst he's still at the club.

The couple of hours or so during the match, is ideal for the football disinterested house wife. Shopping done free from anyone else, a relaxed coffee and do one before the final whistle. Or at least chilled enough to wait for hubby and kids and put up with traffic.

I reckon a lot of polls etc are like that. Presumably, they take a snapshot of people then extrapolate based on the population.

Aye seconded. Condolences Frank

I reckon its similar across Wigan. Far side, a touch of scouse comes in. Our side more Lancastrian. Used to work in Wigan and I was surprised by the range of accents.

Although not an engineer myself, I find it fascinating; from building bridges to huge metalworking machines. Loved my occasional trips to Hick Hargreaves seeing the processes.

Went once. Mate was driving and went wrong way at M25. We were in staines at 2.10pm Called in at a cop shop for directions and they were bemused; didn't know 'fack awl'. A local sorted us out. 110 mph in an old ford orion, and a heart rate bordering on 200, saw us get into the ground at 3.15 as they were closing the turnstile. Got into the ground and asked an old time looking copper the score. He didn't know as he'd just got on the terrace himself. Went for a massive piss, came back onto the terrace to see Stuart Storer played through and lob an advancing keeper to score what turned out to be the only goal of the game. Never been so scared in a car before or since.

When the macron was built part of the reason for it and within its design was the multi purpose facilities for income generation. The upkeep of the stadium- if we're talking about the stands, apart from clearing post match litter, involves relatively little. Occasional painting, some maintenance and insurance checks etc. This would also be required in a smaller stadium, admittedly at a smaller cost, but would hinder the club in terms of non football related income generation. The proximity of the club to the motorway network and the additions facilities in and around the ground also raise its profile and suitability for many functions. As much as it might be nice to go back into the town centre, let's not forget access- the A666 is relatively small and was cack when large number of visiting fans came. Also check the crowds that came last season in the third division and compare to the last time we were there; as things stand we have a magnificent stadium that works for the club. Ken's biggest successes have come in re negotiating stupid, costly contracts, reducing the wage bill; getting the costs down. Continuing to maximise non football income will be essential and moving to a smaller site in town doesn't make any sense. Its also small time thinking with regards to football matters (albeit that pragmatism may push this into second place)

He didn't seem too bad at the service last night; but presumably the Albert hall is a bit warmer. Interesting to see her Maj has passed her duties onto Charles.

Went to the service in the village. Reading the names, two and three at a time with the same surname. Even more sobering when a name is repeated in both wars. Just over a hundred a represented on the memorial. A lot of blokes from one area of Bolton.

Iirc bolton-bury is 6 miles along the a58. (Sign at top of radcliffe moor road). Dunno about the other.
-
Sounds like you're fucked.
-
Not sure post brexit that employers will abuse employees. Its an opportunity, but if companies start fucking about significantly, then the best will start to drift abroad and the rot will start. Similarly, in order to trade with Europe, I can see some rights being protected.
-
Do sometimes. Occasional decent film and lad watches his police fly on the wall documentaries.
-
Agree. A bit of freshness after the last couple of performances won't go amiss. Can't be any duller.
-
I wholly understand where you're coming from, though historically, workers movements have achieved a lot- including some of the rights we take for granted. Just a shame they sometimes go far too far and undermine what they were set up for.

That's the good side to being a member. Sadly the other side, where shirkers and twats would utilise and abuse their membership to avoid a bollocking and bullying would put folk off. Suppose there's a bit of luck whether the section/branch that represents a particular workforce is decent and effective.

Just read some of this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyeglass_prescription But my eyes started aching. Good luck. Dunno if it helps.
