Im a big fan of Jussi , but yes he hasnt had the best of seasons but not woeful by any standard. At 36 I think he has another 2 years as 1st choice keeper by which time we will know if Bogdan is ready to step up to take his place. I don't watch Wigan so Ive seen AAH play about a dozen games and so far I dont think he is the better choice, if we could get 3-5 mil for him in the summer I would take it. Some players get better with age and I am confident Jussi will recapture his best form next season plus I have a bet on that he will take our all time appearence record.

Its not the schools fault its the parents...I was born in Burnley and lived there til I was 15 all me family are from Padiham (yeah I know) with the exception of me old man. I had the honour of meeting Mr Lofthouse on a few occasions and he actually thanked ME for coming to his celebratory dinner. If he had nothing to do with Bolton Wanderers, ever , he still would have been one of the finest gentlemen I ever met. I get what you are saying but in those first 2 seasons under Allardyce everything was still new and exciting and still novel. I still think we are relegation fodder this season, (although I do think we will stay up , we will be down there with the rest) I worry about how things could change to make us better in the next few seasons and that is where I think Megson will struggles and is not the man to lead us to mid-table security or beyond.

I would agree IF we finish in the top 7....or even top 10....... By take us further, I mean not constant relegation fodder, which is how I see us at the moment.

Wasn't that the season that BSA sacrificed the FA cup and IF we had continued in the competition we wouldn't have hit premiership opposition until the final too ? I dont really have a problem with playing the fringe players in the domestic cups (still have cold sweats about Lisbon) but having said that I would take winning a cup and being relegated. I used to be indesicive......now I'm not sure.

Totally agree. I thought Ricky turned into a very good Prem left back (didnt he win player of the season about 4 years ago?) but IMO we lost more than we gained in converting him. After 5 years as a full back its no wonder he can't hit a cows arse with a banjo but regular starts out wide should sort that out. That and banning players from wearing blades and go back to proper studs.

fwiw, I'd bring in Phil Brown but also don't think he would leave Hull for us at the moment (maybe at the end of the season). McGinlay as asisstant would be a fine combonation for me, in fact he should be at the club in some capacity anyway. I'd have Big Sam back but for the reservations I have about second spells at clubs, they rarely work.

Im not from Bolton and have no link with the town. Me Dad dragged me up as a Bolton fan since birth but he isn't from Bolton and has no links with the town either. By rights he should be a Padiham fan and I should be a B'stard in claret and blue. Lucky escape for both of us and I will be eternally greatful to him for that.

out of intrest Framed copies of the programmes for the last game at Burnden and first game at t'Reebok went for about ?60 on ebay about a month ago, not a bad mark up on the original sale price ?
