Weather doesn’t look so good; cooler there than here! Only taking shorts.

Definitely not T-shirt and shorts weather in SF. When that wind blows in off the Pacific over water that’s made its way down from Alaska it’s a tad chilly. Particularly when the clouds roll in

Homeless problem way worse than I thought. There’s plenty of folk fighting imaginary demons on the street. Makes Piccadilly Gardens look like Mayfair. Sad to see

Pleasant from LA up the coast, good for walking but not beach weather! But all of California seems shrouded in cloud, which they are enjoying. I’ll never understand food portions here, doggy bags are everyday normal. SF weather looks unchanged for when we arrive in a week or so, I’ll need to buy a cardy.

Homeless; politicians reaping what they have sown.

At Big Sur now; lovely blue sky, at 67 degrees. Perfect!

Arrived San Diego yesterday. Same. Blue skies and sun in the afternoon today. Lovely. Not far from a massive US naval base. The sound of the music from the pool bar interspersed by helicopters and machine gun fire from the nearby military training grounds. Love it  This place is superb

Off to Krakow/Auschwitz in a couple of weeks.

TBH if this weather stays I’m quite happy staying in the UK for the next couple of months after that and probably will.

Just sat at Dalaman airport ready to fly home. £24 euros for a Big Mac meal, £7 for a tube of Pringles and £4 a small bottle of water are just some of the prices for goods here. Outrageous.

Anyway just had a belting 8 nights in Hisarounu courtesy of @Traf travels, absolutely love the place but the prices are getting more ridiculous each year. We spoke to numerous families out here who have said they won’t be coming back because of how expensive it is. It’s a shame as it’s a top place

2 of my mates went to Thailand because it worked out cheaper. Prices on almost everything have gone through the roof

I was in Lara last weekend and 8 euro was the going rate for a 330 ml bottle of beer.

I'm not a huge fan of Turkey, always feels like some cunt is trying to rip you off. We got an Uber from our hotel to a bar for 2 Euro and when we were heading back, there were taxis sat outside, so I decided to offer them the custom and cut Uber out of the equation. Cunts wanted 10 Euro for about a mile and a half.

Go out on the piss in the gaslamp quarter. Also Air and Space Museum is great. San Diego is ace, possibly favourite US city.

Had lunch and a few beers/wines today in the gaslamp quarter. Prob heading back there tomorrow night for our final night. Bought a 2 day hop on hop off ticket so going Balboa Park tomorrow to do the Air and Space and automotive museums and then doing USS Midway. Done quite a few US cities in my time and have to agree that San Diego is probably my favourite
