Personally I think victor is poor and up to now been a waste of half a million but let’s see .

We can agree on that one.

The wider issue in my opinion is that the loaned players have not improved us neither.

Thats a concern.

Trafford and Bradley ?

Can't blame eirher of the front two for me that first half

They were both making runs but time and again Sheehan in particular but anyone with the ball seemed relucrant to play quickly to them.

Once Shoretire and Sheehan went off Lee's movement worked a treat, Thomason staryed to dominate abd we looked much better. Faster moving the ball and a decent goal.

Then at 1-0 they were bound to come and have a go, and Evatt should have changed his mind and left Thomason on. We didnt need to chase for a goal then, but he still broought 2 more strikers on.

Dan looked good and Kacha worked his midfield type role as well as can ve expected, but he's a striker not a battling midfielder. With MJ available, he could have brought him on instead for defensive cover.

Weakened the midfield, and ww sat deeper inviting pressure.

Agreed, We look weaker now than before the January transfer window, think we panicked when Dapo went, and, none of the players we signed dont look as good as Dapo. Also, in hindsight i may add, letting Aimson go as come back to bite us.

I like Evatt but that summation is either naive or through rose-tinted spectacles e.g. "they were very defensive first half" - and yet they had 5 shots on goal to our 1. Nor does he mention that they also hit the post, had chances to score and very nearly did long before the inevitable equaliser arrived.

The current league positions of the teams we have left to play should have no bearing whatsoever on our selection and preparation - every game is going to be a battle, nobody can be taken for granted and we have to be at our best to win the games. Nothing less - and today we were downright poor, especially before the first 3 subs came on. Particularly annoying was the string of overhit through balls including from Sheehan whose radar was off.

It was almost as if Evatt was testing the squad's strength in depth - as if we were playing in a friendly that didn't matter.

My only consolation is that it's still in our hands for now but another performance like that and we could be in serious trouble. Cup final aside, we haven't played really well for a while so Evatt has some serious work to do both in defence and midfield. Not sure if that applies to the forwards because they were left chasing shadows today with hardly any decent service so it's difficult to judge.

Hopefully, nobody is now in any doubt about the difficulty of the challenge ahead.

They're all fucking shit. EVATT OUT.

Moron 😉

Ponderous, pedestrian & predictable today.

Mbete & Shoretire are awful and will surely never play meaningful games for their parent clubs.
Team selection was badly wrong today IMO, should always pick the best you've got available.

Dempsey, Morley & Charles should all have started. Two were fit enough to be subs, so therefore were fit enough to play.
One was 'rested' ahead of a court case that could possibly end his season anyway.

Kieran Lee has gone from playing too much football to hardly getting on the pitch so he should be fresh enough too.

Might as well go 4 at the back than play Mbete.

CaptMed is right, recent league performances haven't been up to our usual standards.

Ndululu was excellent when he came on and scared their defence to death.

mbetty was average but has hardly played so gets a pass for now based on that, though he really needs to grasp these opportunities from now on.

Cambridge came to defend and pick up scraps off any set pieces and they got what they wanted unfortunately. Have to credit them a little for that.

People do sometimes forget that the other team has 11 players as well and they are not a million miles off our standard if we have our second XI starting the game.

4 points at Easter is always a decent return.

Folk hitting panic buttons over today are the types who panic bought bog roll 3 years back.

That was really frustrating that, they were good runs too. Midfield were too busy pissing about with sideways stuff instead of taking half a risk in the first half.

Could have easily changed to 4 at the back today, esp as Johnston struggled in the middle of the 3.

No need, I'll be there at 10 sharp on Thursday

Didn’t move it quick enough first half, looked much sharper after the break, should’ve had it put to bed.

Given Wembley and a tricky trip to Exeter, four points and a cup in the space of a week is good.

It’s going to ebb and flow over the last few weeks.

enjoy it.

He was our best player today!

He’s always good, but I thought he struggled in the middle of the 3 (possibly because he is so left footed?)

Charles hit the post, we had a flurry of chances where we couldve scored 3.

Any other day we win that comfortably.

I think they had an equal number of chances/opportunities. A draw was definitely a fair result.

They did - the post, the header just wide and the goal were brilliant chances and they had lots of others too.

Our problem was that our passing tempo was way too slow, through balls were overhit or misdirected and they won possession too easily. We were awful and basically played badly for most of the game.

No doubt its a high quality red you have been quaffing.

Out of position and still our best defender today, couldn't trust any of the others in that central role. Great to have him back just when we really needed him.
