MickyD Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Roy Hodgson stable in hospital following feeling unwell at training. I wonder if he’ll end up listening to his body and retiring. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Don't really see him having that option - Parish will make the decision for him Quote
mattbwfc19 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Beale gone from Sunderland after 2 months Quote
Whitestar Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 (edited) Really?, that's mad! Fans never wanted him but he's been no worse (or better) than their previous few. Edited February 19, 2024 by Whitestar Spelling Quote

Fans never wanted him but he's been no worse (or better) than their previous few. Ir is. Mackerel mate of mine says the fans never fancied him and "he doesn't look like a manager". No, me neither. It can have helped that the fans never wanted Mowbray to leave & it was him & his Birmingham team who beat them on Saturday. Mowbray, incidentally, was taken ill over the weekend & will be given time off for a few weeks. Edited February 19, 2024 by Dr. Feelgood Quote
Dr. Feelgood Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 👆👆👆 Mackem, obviously, auto-incorrect, but I quite like Mackerel. Quote

Is it right that Charlton have had 5 managers this season alone? If so that’s just crazy and how much compensation must they have paid them, never mind the costs of signing new players? Quote
Whitestar Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 I heard 1 time you were only allowed 3 different managers in a season?? So Watford used to think that's what you had to do🤷? Quote

Don't think I've ever heard that before. Not sure it's true. In reality though, it's not likely a club is going to sack three managers in a single season, no matter how shite they are. Quote

If you include caretaker managers that's probably right Started off with Dean Holden then had Appleton and now Jones Fill in the gaps with caretakers and that's five Quote
