As much as I'd rather avoid Blackpool, I'm grateful Wigan haven't had a sniff of the play offs this season.

They won at Pompey, Peterboro, Derby and here, scoring 11 goals, and did the double over Posh as well as us.

if we'd done half of that we'd be up now.  Thank god they aren't coming to us for a semi final 2nd leg, I'll take playing any of the others.

Having lived around there, because they had a couple of seasons in the prem, they think they're entitled

Absolutely incredible but something must have gone off behind the scenes. I’d think Leroy will be in for a pretty good payday though and I don’t think it’ll take him long to get fixed up elsewhere.

He was working wonders and had them playing some great stuff. I had them down as being one of the challengers next season with him in charge (and the general consensus from Derby fans is that he was the main reason for any success under Rooney).

As others have said, he won’t struggle to find another job and likely a good one at that
