Sure there would be a bit of dust flying around Wembley. A lot of football to be played before that would happen and I’d rather we avoided them altogether. Exactly the same here. 'The 9 players' Final he called it, and maybe begrudgingly 'The Mortensen Final' certainty never credited Matthews with f'call. Quote
Johnnyrotten Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 As much as I'd rather avoid Blackpool, I'm grateful Wigan haven't had a sniff of the play offs this season. They won at Pompey, Peterboro, Derby and here, scoring 11 goals, and did the double over Posh as well as us. if we'd done half of that we'd be up now. Thank god they aren't coming to us for a semi final 2nd leg, I'll take playing any of the others. Quote

Lt. Aldo Raine Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 I haven't been paying a great deal of attention but I thought he was doing a good job Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Bloke did a tremendous job, utter fucking madness, I don't know how these foreign owners think, but they seem fucking clueless. Quote
DirtySanchez Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Seems like they have replaced one loon owner with another Quote

Duck Egg Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 That's on a par with the Birmingham decision to sack Eustace when they did. It's not the fans fault but I hope Hull go the same way now. Quote

Whitesince63 Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Absolutely incredible but something must have gone off behind the scenes. I’d think Leroy will be in for a pretty good payday though and I don’t think it’ll take him long to get fixed up elsewhere. Quote

Eddie Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 He was working wonders and had them playing some great stuff. I had them down as being one of the challengers next season with him in charge (and the general consensus from Derby fans is that he was the main reason for any success under Rooney). As others have said, he won’t struggle to find another job and likely a good one at that Quote
Marc505 Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Only just noticed Huddersfield binned their fella Quote
