The Managerial Roundabout

Shrewsbury potting Cotterill is an odd one,

Spurs possibly seeking a new manager around Christmas, not sure how he will do.

Gerrard to Leeds is rumoured.

Uri Geller to Wigan?

I know he’s not a manager but Standard Liege fans seem gutted we’ve got Fergal Harkin to the extent that some are saying he saved them from relegation despite having no budget. Sounds positive.

  • Are you serious? The guy brought us some fucking brilliant moments  that we’ll never forget. Yeah, it didn’t end up great but ffs.

Not ruling Evatt out for the Swansea job just a feeling I have.

This time last year, he wouldve had a shout

Not now

Whilst the odd championship club may be interested in Evatt, his family don’t want to leave chesterfield. And I’d imagine him living away from home wouldn’t go down too well 😉

So Swansea would be a big surprise.

He’ll be on the Blackpool Riviera soon when Bruce’s bombed out. 😁

And their official statement mentions us. 😂

Wonder who they'll have lined up as a replacement 🤔

Couldn't be, could it ?

Ryan Lowe's if he wants it, surely.

I'm confident they won't get better than Maloney, he's got his head screwed on and seemed to do a decent job with the resources.  Not sure who they expect will do a better job whilst selling their better players.

Hopefully they get a manager in quickly so that any new manager bounce is history before 1st April.

I’d go with this.

"During his tenure, Shaun and his young team have provided the Club and its supporters with some proud moments, including an Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie with Manchester United, as well as three memorable victories over rivals Bolton Wanderers, just to name a few."

Funny

Has everyone beaten Man U recently, except us!!!!

Almost, but not quite, Wigan lost 0-2.  So Maloney's achievement was somehow influencing the FA Cup 3rd round draw so that they got Man U.  They had to beat Exeter and York first no less.

Evatt managed to get Arsenal away in the league cup so he must be in with a shout of replacing him.

I wonder if they might go back to Leam Richardson.

Either way that whole groundhog day scenario of Maloney's tactical cuteness versus Evatt's stubborn naivety is now gone for good.

What a ridiculous way to spell Liam.

MK Dons position now vacant, may be of interest to Evatt, with Hart being there (if they get on)

That's proper low-rent that is.

Maloney did a good job at Wigan under very tough circumstances.

They don’t.

But I do think Evatt might fancy the Wigan job!

If Evatt thinks other clubs haven't heard of his weird personal behaviours outside of the football he's in dream land.

Then there's the football. Nice but one-dimensional, no Plan B, system found out. Players being used as square pegs/round holes, fall outs, wasteful buys. The absences, the players not training properly.

This will all be known in football land.

Would YOU employ him right now ?

Strangely Dr. football seems to be an industry that overlooks what’s disturbing to most people and I don’t think all these things will put off suitors for Evatt. They won’t ignore the fact that he took us from being on the brink to Wembley a couple of times, two promotions, one under embargo here and successive play off places. In fairness to an outsider that would all look pretty good so I think there will be good opportunities for Evatt before long. I don’t know about Wigan, it may be a bit too close to home and I think would be anathema to most Wigan fans.

He couldn't could he? 😁

Certainly some stuff he’ll need to explain BUT, he knows league one inside out, he’s been successful at this level, and I would imagine will be able to demonstrate a real hunger and desire to right some wrongs. He’ll be sought after at this level for sure.

I have reservations about the fella and it didn’t end well, but in 4 years he got us promoted, took us to Wembley twice, scored 100 goals in a calendar year and gave us all some pretty enjoyable moments.
