Saudi

Bernardo Silva now being tipped to join the likes on Ronaldo, Kante and many others. I get older players going but if Silva was to sign for a Saudi club then thats a bit of a game changer as he’s only 28.

Can you knock someone for wanting more money in a career that only has a short lifespan?

A positive this for me, gives our lot in particular a chance to reset.

Finally get rid of these refs who have built these characters and brands. Focus on the next lot integrating themselves better with the technology, pay them better but as a way to entice actual former players to the role rather than failed sunday leaguers with a superiority complex.

Made me wonder what they do get paid; this seems to answer it:

Aye, saw that.

Previous gates of less than a thousand.

Once the princes have had enough and want a new play thing, it will likely collapse.

Been having a look

60,000 turned out to watch Neymars debut for Al Hiall  but they average around 10k

Ronaldos tram average 20k

Couple of teams with 20k capacity average 2k

Another game recently pulled in 133

To be fair Gerrard's side were away from home. But his clubs average home gate is only 7k. This Saudi thing will die a death eventually. Can't blame folk for cashing in.

No idea of any context but Robbie Fowler, the unlikely manager of Saudi side Al-Qadsiah has been let go.

8 matches in, 6 wins, 2 draws, 2nd place.

I guess he could have upset someone important. These situations must be a minefield.

Saudi will host the 2034 World Cup. It was only a matter of time.
