Lincoln (H)

Well here we go. The excitement builds for our first game. Can we build on 2 years of progress in this division and a good pre-season to state our claim for promotion.

First decision for Evatt will be whether to go with a number 10 behind 2 forwards - if he does CMG is the man.

But I think he’ll grow into the first 11 - he can make a difference next week coming from the bench.

Just 3 positions up for grabs then for me. I think Morley will pip Thomason, Adebeyejo will go up top with Charles and Iredale wil go LCB (if fit, if not Forrester did very well today.

                      Baxter

       Jones.     Santos.   Iredale

Dac.Cog.   Sheehan Morley.  Williams

                      Dempsey

            Charles.     Adebeyejo

The forum definitely has a different feel to it these days. There are a handful of prolific posters who tend to flood threads and have changed the mood of the place. I'd bet they don't know any Hudder

I can't remember if I've already posted this because I'm pissed. But just to put things into perspective - we were loaning players form Lincoln a few short years ago. The progress we've made sinc

cash only is very odd, isnt it

if its an hour earlier, im more likely to use it but if its only for one way, a taxi for 4 is cheaper

Leaves Radcliffe at 12.09 now

Get spending your money in the fanzone & club shop or that people don’t use them so they have a reason to ditch them

The cynic in me says folk who use the bus won't be wanting to be onsite for almost 2 hrs pre-game and this is the club's way of ditching the buses.

Until you get to the club and then it's cashless

Has anyone told Matt Le Tissier?

Same price as a return. £7.

Yep, too expensive ,no single fares, reduced service & now at the wrong time.

From my limited experience, the great majority of people who use them will not want to be arriving at the Reebok nearly 2 hours before kick off & this looks like another way of cutting demand for buses until the club can claim lack of numbers to justify ditching the service.

100% - club not daft. People either stop using them or spend more money at the club as up there longer.

I'd imagine most on the bus fall into the first category.

So we have a pioneering new transport system that is designed to put off potential customers?  The aim is for it to fail and have as few passengers as possible and run at a loss?  Revolutionary.

Folk in Radcliffe having to get to the bus stop at 5.55pm for a night game?

tricky.

Hardly pioneering, they've reduced the routes down to 6 (from 14 I think?) and considering they were thinking about getting rid it just seems they are making things difficult for folk who do use them.

Ideal result for club here is that people spend an extra hour spending cash in the fanzone / hotel but just can't see that happening for most folk using the buses.

A family of four isn't paying £28 return and having to spend that much again killing an hour on Middlebrook.

All of a sudden cheap tickets mean nothing

Add the bus price with killing an hour or so it becomes a costly day

When we first moved, buses ran at two times, so those wanting a drink or two near the ground could do. Presumably this is done to get more in the fan zone etc, which you can understand, especially if numbers using the buses are dropping.

A bit of a catch 22 perhaps, but ultimately, can understand the club not wanting to help fund them, if fewer folk use them.

Cheapest family ticket this season is £76. Add on £28 for the bus and you're over £100 just getting to the game and getting in.

Never mind buying food/drinks programmes or merchandise, that's a dear day out already.

Think it was more staggering the traffic flow in rather than doing it so folk could have a pint when it first opened

when we got the go ahead for the ground the club said affordable out of town travel links will be in place, yes the club has changed ownership but there’s a big draw from certain areas and with normal bus fares going down £7 is bloody expensive

initially, there were going to be 2 buses going home

1 immediately and 1 a bit later

they thought people would drink on the concourse post match

That is the issue for me.

£7 is ott.

Used the earlier service in the early days, and it wasn't full until later in the journey.

Did provide for a relaxed pint beforehand, but shite ale at inflated prices wore off!
