Hopefully it will be better once teething troubles are sorted out. They will still need to make money though, unless they're being subsidised, presumably from council tax. Dunno if this is the case or not. Lots of shiny new leccy buses though, must be tons better than a smelly diesel.

Quite. My personal view is that such funds would be better spent on links around the North and improving public transport within cities. I expect the PM to cancel the Manchester link.

October 1, 20232 yr Just had a quick gander. I went down to just outside London on Tuesday, took 4 hours. Same trip on the train is 8.5... Not read through the tread but if they don't commit, (which as a not clued up average intelligence northerner) then they'll loose whatever votes they have.

October 1, 20232 yr I was against HS2 in the first place money should have be spent on connection between manchester to the east and west of the country, connections to the west country and wales from Birmingham and then linking east of the country to the east coast line and beyond to the east of the county, the least priority was the london Birmingham link and it’s an utter disgrace the money spent on that section.
