That game was made for Santos, those boys up top wouldn’t have won as much. But fair play to Toal, Forrester and Iredale, they’ll be black and blue in the morning! 

Special mention for Iredale. Even though I still don’t have him in our best 11, his goal, assist and 2nd half performance was commendable today, showed bags of character. Just what the squad requires in the middle of an injury crises. 

Sometimes you just have to find a way to get a result, we’ve done that the last 2 games.

What about your buddies substitutions? Bringing Jerome on for Lundlu, instead of Bod? More puzzling not taking thomason or Iredale off, who could both have been sent off before half time.. But, we all know whats coming tomorrow. Injuries, bad ref, blah blah blah, The only consolation, we have beaten the might of Stevenage!

Neither Iredale nor Thomasson were sent off and one of em scored a goal

He just isn't a good modern manager - he's as flexible as a brick. 

Another well ground out victory in the end.

Considering the number of crosses into our box in the last 20 mjns or so I thought we defended really well, apart from where two of them left it to one another, but recovered with a last ditch tackle.

I really want Nlundulu to succeed, but that performance tonight was as bad as you'll see from a striker. Can't fault his work rate, but looked like a non-league player. Jerome (apart from his 2 mins of madness] put him to shame.

Thomason really needs to cut out the daft yellows. That one tonight, as with many, was completely needless and means he's playing on the edge for the rest of the game.

Credit to Stevenage, they were a very well drilled side and their front three caused us problems all game.

Hopefully Carlisle will be an easier 3 points.

Forester was superb, he’s a leader, puts his body on the line and can also play a bit, while quite a few have doubted this seasons signings, Cogley, Baxter and Forrester look excellent acquisitions.

Im not arsed if hes available or not as when the crocks are back we have decent options, my point was that its going to hold him back and we are very vulnerable to playing half a game with 10 once hes booked

Tonights was another stupid one, too

A wins a win, but Christ that was hard viewing.

First half we were abysmal and for some reason unable to put a cross in, and overplaying down Williams side ultimately led to them nicking the ball off us, breaking and scoring.

Second half we picked up and started really well, got the goal, and then killed all momentum bringing on Jerome. I mean, what on earth is Evatt seeing that warrants Jerome getting game time ahead of Bod. Everyone in the crowd near me could see he needs to be sent off to the retirement home, why can't Evatt?

Then we get a third out of nothing really and sit back the rest of the match. Not exactly inspiring confidence in we're a potential promotion team...

I’d be bringing on JDB or even starting him before Dan or Jerome, so I don’t agree with everything he does 😊

Thomason and Iredale certainly don’t help themselves with silly bookings, so I’m not going to defend that one either.

However you can’t fault either of them in that 2nd half, they were everything that’s been good about these last 2 wins; character, leadership, goals assists, passion - I’m glad they were both on in that 2nd half and weren’t hauled off! 

Surely even from Los Christianos you can see how integral they were to that win? 😉
