Oh, and did we see @Casino poised beneath the ball as it came down after a lofted clearance and then bottled the header, electing instead to let it hit his flailing hand having attempted to punch it? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It wasn't funny, just very odd.

I heard that Evatt's cakes are so dry even his little winky can't give enough spuff to make a small cupcake moist.

It's Sharon who brings the cakes, I doubt Evatt does much baking with all his shagging and gambling

No Jones, Santos or George

Two new signings injured

Bristol wanted to pay more than a million for the other George

New contract for Dion

Bod on his way back

Some decent youngsters coming through

looks like we have a cracking keeper

why the pessimism ?

Two games on bounce we've dug deep.

Half of me says great character, other half says we dont half make it hard for ourselves.

Onwards and Upwards.

3 if you include PBoro with 10 men.

Home for 11 is a right result .

Tonight was the type of game you get at this level, they were a physical well organised team who had a plan and stuck to it.

We were feeding off scraps in their half but scored 3. Happy with result and the players attitude but we have the same issues as last season.

1 ball hardly ever sticks up front

2 midfield gets over run/ over powered (GT needs to cut out bookings)

3 As the wing backs push on there is always a ball in 'the channel' that sees a centre half pulled out v a striker,.

Anyone still think we do not need a real leader battle harden bastard in midfield ?

Ex Wanderer OINO , unless its someone you dont like ?

Wanderlust is the most sychophantic  poster ever , Ive really tried hard to incorporate your bollocks but its incredible how you come out with that shite on a regular basis .  Welcome to ignore , you fuckin thruster.

Yep.

Evatt doesn't seem to fully trust the strikers apart from Charles.

He's picked Vic every game he's been available so make that 2.

Dan's performance tonight had to be seen to be believed, mind boggling.  I wonder how much it would take to buy their no 10 that won every header, and the guy that scored their goals?  Great respect for Stevenage, I really didn't expect them to be that good, we didn't have one spell of 5 minutes that was comfortable.

Chuffed with the win, but hard to be pleased with the performance.  Well done Sheehan and Iredale with the goals, quality finishes and they each assisted each other with inch perfect deliveries nearly as good as the finishes, so they can take a bow.  Strangely one of Sheehan's worst games overall, couldn't get a grip of midfield at all.  And save of the season from Baxter.  I've criticised Williams so credit for his excellent 1st half performance, looked really up for it.  Disappeared after about 55 minutes though.   Well played JDB, as usual, a class above.

Take the points and move on, but plenty to learn from that and improve on.

Had a chat with a bloke who looks after the young player at his house, and his Mrs works at the club as well, and loads of people are losing patience with Evett.

He's just not up to the job for taking our club further.

Neighbours of mine will warn them about loose lips at the match

First half was shocking. Second half much better but still quite poor relative to what we're capable of. Fair play to Stevenage, decent side who made it very difficult for us at times.

Iredale motm for me, won the pen, scored then put a lovely ball to Sheehan for the assist and made some good tackles even on a yellow card.

Agree with that, Iredale superb.  Gets some stick but doesn't get much credit for his pinpoint passing which none of the other defenders (Santos aside) can match.  1 of only 3 scorers from open play at home this season, only Vic has got more, arguably worth his place for that alone given our lack of scorers.

I’m so disappointed. Firstly that it wasn’t you but also that my eyes must be fucked because I thought it was.

Thomasson is in danger of fucking a possible decent career up

Thats 8 cards now and it just cant carry on like this

Casimiro yellow card is like printing money.  I reckon he's done alright career wise.  If we had more players like him he wouldnt need to do it on his own.

We scored our third and he was there absolutely fucking blasting everyone.  Our 8-1 the other day, were we 6 up when we conceded?  He went off his fucking head.  He's a winner and will strive to win no matter what.

Fuck knows what that means but I no we have 2 strikers who can’t trap a bag of cement one is nearly 40 years old and never scored for us the other seams always injured.
hAs for there forward line had a striker who won every header and the other two had pace scored two goals hit the post and gave  our  back line kittens and won a penalty

Edited by Farnywhite

Jaysus we're a difficult watch ATM. One minute we're playing some quality stuff and the next we're needlessly giving it away and piling the pressure on ourselves. I know Evatt believes in our style of play but it's a risky business - great if it's working but nerve-wracking when we're not playing well.

For me the bottom line is that you need quality players with instant control, good decision-making and accurate passing who aren't easily knocked off the ball to play the Evatt way - which is why I suspect we may be dabbling in the market again in January - and some may be moved on if that's possible.

Players turning down moves with massive wage rises but they've all lost faith in Evatt apperantly.

Better quality of refs in the league above, they're woeful in this league.

Had some bad decisions both ways.

Casemiro - played 10. 1 yellow, 1 red (2x yellow)

Thomason - played 12. 8 yellows.

Blesd you, but I doubt that.

7 from 9 without supposedly our best player, yes missed against a certain type of striker like tonight but stick by what I said Charles will be a bigger miss than santos if he’s out

Charles penalty defender and a midfield scored if I am not wrong.

the point is there forward line looked far more potent than ours tonight just going of what I watched
