I agree.

I have worked with a lot of good “talkers” over the years, many who didn’t produce. Talk is cheap.

Its time for the talk to stop and the action to start.

As @Johnnyrotten said earlier , deep down he surely cannot think that we deserved anything other than a defeat against Carlisle.

I have some sympathy as he has to front up to the press.

Just that some of the things seem a bit of an "excuse" and unnecessary.

Just needs to acknowledge the performance was a bit shit against Carlisle, then ease back.

Folk can see what isn't working etc, and will accept injuries have an effect etc, but don't want bullshit.

And asking what their left back is like

The response was "his bird is fit".

Still awaiting confirmation, but a quick internet search suggested it is Lioness Alessia Russo - who I thought batted for the other side. Will update you when I hear more.....

Q: When have I ever not asked opposition fans about their team?

A: Whenever we play Lincoln as I'm banned

....as I've told you on many occasions.

You're like a stuck record pal.

👍 Keep up the good work.

Confirmed - it's Russo - not especially fit IMO.

As for Brough we saw him against Barrow last season - big lad. Scored his first L1 goal this season.

Dacres-Cogley should be torturing him TBH but they tend to play with a back 4.

Your efforts with regard to the opposition are fine.

Just the negativity when we kick off!

Apologies. Assume this in connection with my assumption about the sexuality of said Lioness who was (falsely?) reported to be in a relationship with a teammate in the national gutter press?

Could this be the least interesting fixture for a long, long while? Can’t seem to get up for it at all. Tickets being offloaded left, right and centre on social media. Are other folk feeling a bit fed up already, so early in the season?

I get what you mean but there's a bit of fascination (for me) to see how we respond to one of the few "pressure" games we've had in the last couple of years, in terms of fans starting to doubt if we're good enough for top 6.  I think we've gone through the last nearly 2 years confidently expecting to win every home game against bottom half teams.  It feels like that confidence is being tested now.   A win will feel a lot more significant than it should, as will a defeat (assuming the game isn't marred by a sending off etc, again).

Got 2 mates up this weekend so taking a Leeds fan and a part time United, part time Bury fan with me tomorrow. Sat in West Lower for a change of scenery (and the fact I couldn’t get 2 extra seats in East Lower).

Really don’t know what to make of it. On paper we should have more than enough but at the minute, I really don’t know what to expect. Dempseys a miss but he’s been under par (understandably looking at his injury) for a few weeks now. Surely Morley comes back in?

Very rarely don't predict a win, either through confidence or blind faith. But, with weather, their defensive record, their undoubtedly raising their game at the reebok and our tame approach to attacking I'm going 0-0.

Might even have a tenner on it.....

So everyone is safe to pile in to over 2.5 goals.

Know what you mean in terms of actual fixture but circumstances of the day make a difference. I'm weapons free for a night round Horwich after this one so I'm well up for it 😀

Make clubs think we're dogshit at home having lost twice already poorly to poor sides, then turn them over.

Reverse phycology

Did you make a 'pyskick' sign for Clinton Baptiste?

I have a long memory of Flecco scoring against these at Burnden in the FAC late 60's. Premonition of the same result. 2-1 home win. Back on the road to success.

Installed some order/pre order touchscreens in east lower for tomorrow

They've been down this route before in NSL ended in tears on many occasion

Few games in there were forgeries knocking about for the token cards and loads empty handed waiting for a repouring of the pilfered ones
