Collins is starting to look the part and is hitting the goals just at the right time , I'd have definitely have kept him on today though Paul especially with 1 goal potentially changing everything .

I don't get the way he does subs. It often seems done to a script regardless of what's actually happening on the pitch. Imagine Bruce taking Andy Walker off in a big game after 75 mins....

Yengi did sod all. I reckon today is the type of player he is. If he is as good as he played that night at Fratton consistently, he replaces Bishop and goes for big money.

Did ok today, still think we could have done better but Charles coming back is huge. A few more minutes on Tuesday to build him up some more.

Thought our front 2 did very well. Could Bod have scored 1 or 2? Probably but both needed snap decisions

Great performance. But not quality enough to finish them off. I’ll take a positive though. We didn’t do our usual - sell loads of tickets for a big game in front of a nearly full house and completely capitulate

Happy Clapper in me says Derby are more than capable of completely fucking up their run in. Them and Peterborough took advantage when we threw away our games in hand. Both are now having a bit of a wobble. Reckon its final day stuff this

They'll have been pre-determind

I'm pretty sure of that

He’s weak just like many other of IE signings

So weak, thst we are third in the league and have dropped numerous points since his injury.

You constantly bang on about how weak this league is, yet you can argue it is more competitive because no one is running away with it, and lower table teams are taking points from the top teams.

You have made your mind up and dislike evatt and some players, but just might be wrong

My thoughts exactly,  must admit my heart sank when the change was made and I imagine Pompey were relieved with the change . Annoying now Collins is showing some form for him to be binned at a specific time , especially when chasing the game

Think he's got a point here @radcliffe white

could do with cambridge losing on tuesday and Cheltenham and port vale winning, that way  cambridge will still be in a relegation battle when they play derby

obviously we have to beat shrewsbury too

This is the problem we have with our support

Pretenders who think they know best.

2 conflicting opinions, who somehow think their opinion should be taken as some kind of reason for not getting 3 points.

Yes post your opinion.

But accept the fact that you are  both so far off reality and your opposite extremes are going to be questioned

Both wrong

Dunno mate.

I'm not taking Collins off when we're going for the win.

Unless he's got a knock or run his blood to water.

Which if the case (and Evatt would know), is the right call.

All my opinion of course 👍

Has he?

Prove it is a weak league and pull the stats of pre and post Vics injury.

I may be wrong on the Vic stats, but confident we have been worse since his absence

Can't be too disheartened at that. We played well but there's just something minor missing that prevents us from being a top 2 side. Let's get this done via the play offs.  We're Bolton. Nothing rarely comes easy.

We are playing better which augers well for the play offs, however remember Wrexham away when the footballing gods were with us.

Slightly twitchy about Blackpool though.

Ref was a shocker, he didn't pick up the vibe of the game. He made at least a dozen glaring errors. No consistency at all.

Congratulations to Portsmouth they have found a way to grind out the results, but will need a big overhaul for next season. Reference Plymouth.

Watched on Wanderers TV today, nice to see Toaly and George taking charge of the huddle.

Comparisons with Neal are interesting, progress but slower than expectations. Can also compare with Greaves, method was everything but he did finally get us there.

Evatt personality wise we don't have to like him, as long as he progresses the team on the field then liking him doesn't  really matter. Allardyce was full of himself, but was our best modern day manager by a country mile.

In the last couple of years, the league has lost a few clubs who are self evidently bigger or financially stronger than us, and their replacements - with the exception of Peterborough United - have had to negotiate points deductions and financial difficulties

There's also the advantage of us having an extra season to build and gel our playing squad

We're bigger fish in this current league than we have been previously

It is an often repeated phrase that good teams win despite playing badly. We do not win despite playing well.

Getting Collins upto speed and hopefully Dion scoring and we have nothing to fear in play offs if that is where we end up , but so frustrating.

I do think there will be at least one more twist. Watched the Leeds game today and the pressure that builds with no early goal is crazy. Derby scored early today but if they do nt in future games then who knows what happens.

Vics absence did not happen in isolation. Losing Vic, Baxter, Dion and even CMG all about the same time has affected us. The run of away games - Northampton, Blackpool, Wigan, Barnsley and Derby - where we got 2 points from 5 games is a shortfall of 8 on the 2 points PPG you need for automatics.

Was just going to post that if we had fallen off a Cliff once vic got injured then fair enough but we also lost several other players around the same time even Dan who had started to score .

Fucking hell that felt like a proper play-off. And we played so, so well. Fuck everything else, that crowd gave everything and the team matched it. Everything else will sort itself out.

If anyone else is in Nelson Square then there’s a tab waiting for you in Definitely Maybe.

Three games to go and the last thing we should be doing now is having in depth analysis and criticism of the lads.

That would be my view too.

But instead, I’ve learnt, you have to let everybody have extreme viewpoints, for a balanced debate, even though extreme opinions (Evatt is Phil Neal, makes wrong decisions, makes poor subs, bought the wrong players. Bod is Shit. Vic is shit and so much more) are repeated ad infinitum.

Just to prove some pre-conceived negative opinion, that needs reinforcing on a wanderers forum. Pathetic
