Sheffield Wednesday? Big club? Yeah you would say so and no doubt have a long and rich history, but growing up in the 70s i can't think that I'd ever remember them being in the top flight? It was the usual plus Leeds and even the likes of QPR & Southampton had good teams.

In the 80s we played them a few times but only in second tier. They had a few successful seasons in the 90s and maybe into the early 00s but then fell back to being a bit of a big also rans club. I don't want to see this type of club go under and it a proper shame its come to this, for what its worth i think they'll survive.

I've got them 1 tier above us in the big club stakes.

Their players are apparently walking out but they've just appointed a new manager

I'm now sure what's going on there

From what i recall they got points deductions for breaching PRS and handing their accounts in late to cover it up

Then they got another for going into admin, which we did, and then it's at point people get left out of pocket

So for the latter they no different than us, thrn they got a takeover and came back, just as we did

Yep. But they'd done it twice previously.

Oh, & whatever we did we didn't commit fraud trying to hide our numbers.

Named Henrik Pedersen. Had to double check it wasn’t our Henrik Pedersen. It isn’t.

But you said they ripped off local businesses and started again

Isn't that we did?

That's what happens with admin

Which both clubs did?

Fck me, this is more difficult than it should be.

We did. ONCE.

They are serial offenders, falsified their books on the last one.

So BW - Guilty.

Derby - Guilty, Guilty, Guilty with fraud on top.

Its really not

Them breaking PSR and cooking the books doesn't harm local businesses

Going into admin does

Which they did

And we did

It really isn't that hard

You said they crashed and burned and started all over again, ripping off businesses in the process

That's what happens when clubs go into admin sadly

We did the same

How are they more guilty than us?

Emojis don't count

Because ...

Derby ...

Did ...

It ...

THREE ...

Times.

AND deliberately falsified their accounts, AND appealed to drag the outcome over two discreet seasons.

We went into admin. They did ... & did ... & did with knobs on.

Why that isn't penetrating your fckg skull I've no idea.

You've changed your original point though

You said they crashed and burned and local businesses were left to suffer and came back

Now that's what happens when a club goes into admin and they then come out

Which they did, and we did

That's my original point but you seem to want to bring the other charges in

None of which had anything to do with them ripping of local businesses

They gambled on getting to the prem by overspending abd then would be untouchable like QPR thought

But two of the charges have nothing to do with the original point you were trying to make

Tbf to Mel Morris he poured half of his lifes fortune in to the club then couldn't afford to anymore.

Same way Eddie pulling the plug nearly sent us under and needing Deano and his Blue Marble loan to save us.

Horrible times but bizarrely a promotion and the forest miracle in the middle of it all.

Aye, the likes of Disley and Bassini milling around, saying they would buy the club. Anderson and his very odd son doing what they did. Stelios quietly going about his business. It was a time of utter madness.

I'm sure that Howard cadged a lift in my car to Maine rd in the mid 80s when our game v Bury was called off, CBA checking but it might have been boxing day.

Clever bloke.

(Using someone else to park near Maine rd).

I posted the other day when Bassini was being interviewed in a park about having proof of funds, and dropping the letters all over the place whilst trying to show them to the camera

the other weird moment i recall is when he went on sky sports and told how if we was going to save us, and to prove it he brought in a bolton top with his name on the back

video here

no club should ever have to go through this
