Scotland need their quality players to step up now: McGinn, McTomanay, Andy Robertson, Callum McGregor etc need to come good. And their carthorse defence needs to stand firm - looking at that Blackburn reject in particular.

Meh.

Scotland done unless the Germans pump the Swiss.

4 points should be enough for a “best of the rest” 3rd place though.

Well McFadden as co-commentator was arguably to most "one-eyed" I've ever heard.

Wanting your team to win is all well and good, but every decision was analysed entirely through a blue lens of bias- it became comical.

He was very complimentary of the Swiss goal.

I was thinking the same made co-comms on England games seem positively neutral.

Anyone know what "No N. E. T. A." on a Scottshish flag means ?

Mate of my mine from Kirkcaldy reckons it’s No North East Tartan Army- but most of the Tartan Army are apparently Eastern

It’s just the way I think.

Same with our pundits & commentators when we’re in the latter stages. Adds to the drama of it all.

They will be through if they beat Hungary

not a bad position to be in

Maybe but GD is pants after the Germany game. How many 3rd place go through?

5th o.g. of the tournament.

Most there's ever been is 9 for the whole competition.

I think it was given to McTominay in the end.

Any "least/most" stats should be balanced against the increased games since 2016 to 51, from 31.  Pre-1996 it was 15 games (8 teams) and upto 1976 it was 4 teams!

He's certainly rated over McClean. Sad to see such bitterness just because Rice chose to play for England over Ireland - who incidentally are not doing too well in this competition.

He has a point in there somewhere though, however it's out of context as Rice complements the other England players well and it's a team game.

People always whinge about GSTK being a dreary anthem but it's better than the Hungarian one and many of the others.

The German one is a cracker if you don't sing the Nazi lyrics. Italians is probably my favorite one

Mine too. Always a wry smile when the 'we are quick to death if Italy calls' bit comes around but they do sing it with passion.

Flower of Scotland is, in fairness, excellent.

Best performance by the Scottish this tournament no doubt. 😁

I think it's shite. Just reinforces their inferiority complex.

Now they've had a 1-1 victory, they'll be even worse until they are tromping away from Stuttgart with their tails between their legs.
