When the team is anonymous I think it's more about the system than any individual. 

Haven’t read other comments, likely already been said - it’s just like watching us at our worst. Low intensity, walking football, players moving like chess pieces whilst a player stands still with the ball. Makes it so hard to then get going and inject some pace.

Result is the main thing, and we’ll go through the group, but fuck me it’s boring to watch.

Elmander was class in centre mid the game before though if I remember rightly. Think it was against West Ham at home. Still......

Why are the commentators shocked - we've kept a crap manager in place so we keep getting crap performances - Denmark are roughly the level we can draw to - put us up against teams with equal talent and we lose.

We couldn't beat a nation of 2m people to reach a world cup final and that prat kept his job - insane.

Can't agree with the last bit, at the time perhaps Croatia has too much experience, and getting to the semi wasn't too bad.

Thing is though- the football then was superior to this. Despite good players, we've gone backwards.

We got to the semis on an easy draw then lost against an unbelievably easy draw - the absolute fortune of playing Croatia for a punchers chance of a world cup win, and then to muck it up. Pathetic low expectations if we can't recognise we have the talent to walk those sorts of ties if they were properly coached.

Interesting that the 'experts', Shearer especially, was pretty aggressively dismissive of suggestions that the team were playing poorly & changes were needed .... until he changed & was calling it all shite.

TAA was a very late change if process & frankly he's shown f'call.  Leave him out & let Foden play as a 10.
