  • After, shall we say, rather challenging couple of weeks in my home life that today meant absolutely everything. And I mean everything. Makes me realise why we all do what we do, putting ours

  • I can't abide Evatt, I'm fed up with the club.  But on a day like today the game is an entity in itself, a derby with history and a needle all of its own. Fuck the Blackpool. That's 38 years

  • Just enjoy the last minute winner and beating a local rival you massive fucking dick head.

First half was as bad as we can play, made life easy for them.

Couldn't see us getting anything from the game if I'm being honest, but second half was a complete turnaround.

Moved the ball a bit quicker and it worked a treat.

Thought we'd missed our chance of the win but great that yet again, we played right up to the end.

Great stuff 😁

I’ll say this over and over again until the day I am in a box. But, this team is built and has to play with tempo and intent, passing through the parts of the pitch and using the space afforded to us out wide. That’s the way you get the most out of players like Collins and Schon (who I thought was outstanding 2nd half)

We did that 2nd half so it was a night and day performance v’s the first half which was our typical slow, ponderous, risk adverse approach.

One of the best squads in the league must be used to its abilities. That’s where the quality in it will come through

I think we have all had a moan over the last few months about Evatt and the way he has the team messing about with it at the back, I watched him going mad at the back 3 numerous times today for not getting the early pass off and not going long. So maybe it’s not an Evatt thing? Schon was my MOTM and I thought the ref was shocking, 5 times we had a decent advantage and he blew up to give us a free kick.

on another note, did any of our yoof give their yoof a slapping? They were walking around the ground after the game shouting murderers

And Santos put one foot wrong all day, absolute rolls royce.

One thing that kept making me nervous was Baxter kept wandering out and I'm sure Santos wasn't aware, had visions of him turning a back pass into an empty net

Up the mighty pool.

Ah! 😁👍

Highlight for me was Captain Legohead not celebrating his goal. Straight back on it.

We were poor first half but if Dion heads the ball straight we score first.

Collins miss was as bad, but sure why Dions goal is disallowed. So easily could have had 5 goals.

The captain was brilliant for 30 minutes, watched the game with some Stoke fans, they were full of praise for us second half.

Agree with the posts on 1st half terrible 2nd good 25 mins when we upped the tempo and got the goal after changes felt we went backwards to first half level but then pulled it out of the bag but I feel we are still a long way from the level we should be we are too inconsistent we give sides too much time on the ball without pressure and the back line always looks suspect, if we can now get some consistency we  should easily make playoffs or even fingers crossed 2nd place

Dion's goal- both teammates may be a touch off. No way are they in the eyeline of the keeper.

We've seen similar before, when Doyle was adjudged to be in the keeper's line of sight, despite being about 2 yards to the side.

(Or he hit it, and someone else was "off").

That goal of Thomasson was something else and he ran his socks off for 67 minutes, what a player, never thought he’d ever hit these heights.

He scored a similar right footer earlier this season iirc, in the pizza job.

Got it now, Evatt will use 2 excuses. One will be something about the weather and or the pitch. The other will be about the standard of match officials.

Come on admit it. You were dying to come on here and hear Evatt’s “excuses” weren’t you??? 🤣🤣🤣

Not going to read back through this thread but I am certain some people will have made absolute cubs of themselves.

Half time meltathon for sure.

A wins a win but we won’t be getting promoted playing like that.

It’s bought him another month where he can afford a few more losses and no doubt a loss against Wigan without the knives coming out again.

It’s rinse repeat where the garbage teams in league one bail him out yet again by rolling over and not punishing us.

There are so many players on that pitch who he isn’t getting the best out of.

Im not sure McAtee is actually a footballer.

I honestly think it was just us fans that thought he was going to cock up, Santos was in complete control of the situation, sometimes he doesn't get the credit he deserves for how good he is in possession (not to mention the fact that he wins virtually every challenge and is like a magnet when crosses come into the box).

Folk are entitled the call it as they see it.

Everyone, bar none said it was cack at half time.

Everyone (well, nearly) believes Evatt has had his time, and they're entitled to say so.

Maybe some of the comments are a bit ott, but it's football and full of passion.

You might feel differently, and that's fair enough, but there is nothing embarrassing about fans expressing comments reflecting the on-field fayre.

In the cold light of day sat at home and sober, I’d probably agree with you.

But I’m out on the  piss, taking a time out to look on here.

And quite frankly today, anyone who’s moaning and finding fault can fuck off 😊

I’ll be on here tomorrow with a more considered perspective.

But I (and many More) follow our club home and away, spending shit loads of cash and time (much more than what is considered sensible) and live for moments like that.

So I’m checking out.

Enjoy your nights whites fans

Not read all the comments, but what about the bloody ref, shocking again.

It’s the get off your phones point that I like. I don’t drive anymore and I’m fed up of people bumping into me while reading or watching their fucking mobile phone 😀

Bloody loved that.

ref had an absolute shocker and really fucked the flow of the game, but that first half was particularly flat/shite from us. Points and bragging rights will do though.

Disgraceful.

Not sure how they get away with performances like that.

Was only a shock he couldn't find a way to disallow the winner.

Aye. Schon was excellent.

The ref was as bad as I’ve seen. He had an awful game

He was poor on the cross for their goal. Fans get nervous when he's taking risks because they've seen it happen where he fucks it up.

As for the game the performance wasn't what you want but we got the win. Tomo came out in the 2nd half like a man possessed and dragged us back into the game good goal but the biggest positive for me he was all over the park challenging and winning the ball and ran himself into the ground.

McAtee has yet to impress me when I've seen him play
