Yup, It's shocking from start to finish.

Dreading  Huddersfield with this defence extra pressure on evatt if Charles bags a couple

That from Randall is a really worry. He ran from inside his own half to the corner flag without even trying to challenge him, he just shadowed him giving him a 3 yard buffer so he didn’t feel too much pressure. Unbelievably poor

you could argue he prevented his man from getting a cross in.

If you could be arsed.

I can't.

Simon Rudge???..... And I'm only judging them in a Bolton shirt not how many they scored elsewhere. Nigel Jemson an Robert Fleck were better than either but were absolutely gash for us.

You seem to have a good knowledge of shit bolton strikers Ronnie, I'll give you that. Maybe we can agree that Victor is a good contender. The fact that Vic was bought with the money made from the dapo sale adds salt to my chaffing wound.

We were too weak all over the pitch 2 weeks ago, and now we've signed a player that's just made us weaker, by effectively taking our only tackler out (I'll give Tomo some credit for his application, attitude and tenacity but not in the same league as Matete for winning the ball and maintaining possession).

Nothing against Randall if he replaces a player of equal airy fairyness, I'm sure he'll be a decent player for us, but it doesn't take a genius to work out the net effect on the team's strengths and weaknesses.

Defending is a collective thing, from front to back, and we now have three passengers in that regard in him, Collins and McAtee, in front of a short staffed midfield, two wing backs who can't defend and a back three who's form has fallen off a cliff. Throw in our long term inability to defend set pieces and you have a side who's record is bottom six standard.

Intermediate shite in my view .Useful in the air , bandy as they come got nutmegged a lot.But did once score a worldy from about 40 yards out totally out of context in a game against Pompey I think , the Pompey fans being chased around the embankment Benny Hill style (must have been second half as the opened the gates at half time & let the Lever end out) Can’t have been more than 8k on that day.

Before my time that but talking of not very good players that suddenly come up with a 35 yard screamer - Liam Trotter at Sheff Wed.

It seems like another age that anyone would even attempt a shot from more than 20 yards now and if they did would it reach?

He couldn’t stop a pig in a ginnel.

My god. While a lot of the blame is on Santos for the final mistake the blind chasing from about 3 of our players as their guy runs practically the length of the pitch to the corner flag at the start is laughable.

It's like 5 year olds stuff.

Also Jones getting to close and then letting the attacker run in behind was shocking defending.

I'm certainly not arguing that Vic is good.... Far from it but unfortunately he ain't the worst.... And to think people used to give Nathan Blake shit 😁

Not me. He was a powerhouse, thunderous left foot

The defending yesterday was woeful all round, but the 2nd goal just about sums it up.

Slack pass giving them the ball, Randall tracked 50/60 yards without getting anywhere near to putting a challenge in, JDC miles away from his man. Jones completely loses his runner in behind him and then I genuinely don't know what Santos was trying to do with his 'interception' attempt.

We sat in hospitality yesterday about 10 rows back from the dugout, and a minute or so after the opener, JDC came over to Evatt and asked 'who was supposed to be marking him?' for the lad that won the initial header at the back stick. What do they actually work on in training?

We played Cambridge less than 2 months ago away so we know exactly what they were all about and the fact their main threats being from set pieces/long throws and we play right into their hands most of the first half.

It's a complete shambles and i just do not see where the improvement will come from. We miss a fair few of the big chances we create (even before selling DC), we a powderpuff in the middle and we give soft goals away for fun. When was the last time we conceded and you thought 'great strike' or 'great move'?

We struggle putting together a decent half hour never mind a full half at the moment.
