I’m amazed there’s no thread. No pre-talk of ticket sales, no enthusiasm for our next 3pm Saturday away game.

What’s up with you all? 😂

Moxey at Watford. Was it worse than that?!

Matete available next week.  First midfielder on teamsheet for me, given nobody else has laid a claim to that.  We'd immediately give away less free kicks and retain possession better, accepting he's not as forward thinking as some of the others, but there's a balance to be struck.

Not sure Randall and Sheehan can play in the same side, we sacrifice too much off the ball. One of them plus two from GT, Matete and Morley for me.

Encouraging that defence held firm again and was on for another clean sheet till the daft pen.

We need some other goal contributors, it can't all fall on Collins shoulders

This

Minus the handball the lad up top did ok held it up - he’ll never play again for the club. Chris markson signing being banded about with no knowledge.

Keep faith in schooy

Frustrating that

Strange team selection but will let him off as it was his first day

I had £5 on Collins first, last and anytime so he's cost me up to £70 with his shite finishing

A shite penalty to give away

And it's not often that the teams above us have a game in hand on us

Its not as if Etete is a proven striker just finding his way back to form and fitness.  No track record, lacking match fitness as a minimum, and its a reasonable guess that SS has never seen him play in the flesh, its not like he's been scouting him for weeks.  Just odd to bring him on at 0-0 especially as we had 2 strikers on, he made it 3 which in itself is questionable at 0-0 away from home.

Hopefully next time he gets a run out to improve  his sharpness we're already a couple of goals up.

Yeah looks like it will be a while before etete is match fit, vics done well the last 3 games but hopefully we get someone in before deadline day to help Collins

He did, clearly remember him saying anyone we signed had to be ready to improve the team from day one. So Markham needs asking how we've ended up with this lad

Biggest positive was the defending again. Thought Forrester was outstanding. Johnstone and Toal also both excellent.

Thought we were poor and second best first half. Better 2nd half and missed some decent enough chances but struggled to see where my mates who said we should have won by 2 or 3 were coming from. Maybe I'd just got carried away this week and expected too much. Good day out though.

Hopefully SS can bring in a couple of players before the deadline, I'm not expecting promotion this season, it's all about next season for me.

Your mates were closer to the truth than your are imo

Give the manager and the new players some goddamn time ffs.

Collins scores one of his sitters and our player doesn't do that handball and give them a penalty(their first shot on target). Then everybody is wanking off the new manager, the team and saying we're winning every game.

Morons.

The real supporters at the ground today were absolutely outstanding, fair play to every single one of you.

Just have to take it with massive pinches of salt amigo. There's a big chunk of them are 12 years old with a platform to talk drivel incognito.

Most people from planet earth with perspective realise it wasn't that bad, we had the best chances, play that game 10 times Collins scores twice in 8 of them games, perhaps?

Social meds is just full of silly kids, oppo fans on the wind up, and that bloke that phones bolton fm up at 4.50pm every Saturday.

Seems from the interview we played alright. Is that really the case?

Was at the egg throwing today so I’m out the loop.

I thought it was a very promising performance, the players look a lot more happy with the ball and willing to express themselves.

We were the better side for most parts but poor finishing has let us down, don’t think the pitch helped our men one bit. Their players will be used to it.

Won’t be long until we put a winning together under the new man.

As a side note, that’s the first time in 18months I’ve felt we were unlucky to lose and actually been entertained.

Fair enough pal. I honestly walked away from that feeling a bit underwhelmed rather than fired up. Not often we (mates) see things so differently so it's been a bit weird. Must be me.

Solid in defence. Should have won the game. Strange one re transfers obvs because of the timing. I wonder if ss has anyone lined up to get goals who is fit. Cruel to actually see etete on the pitch, obviously not fit. I hope ss doesn't have to go with what we've got, fingers crossed.

Again, as good as Vic gets, but miles off a target man.

as above, we need a proper front man in who's capable of holding the ball up and bringing others into play, Vic just isn't upto it

It wasn't pretty but considering the turbulence around the club and with Schuey just 24hrs in charge, I felt that it was a near perfect away performance.

He's a top manager and I have a lot of confidence that he will get us right.

We really could and should have been 2-0 up at one point, we gave Reading the ball and similarly to the Huddersfield game, they didn't really know what to do with it. We just didn't take our chances and had some rotten luck at the end.

Hopefully get a few more additions in and a full week of training ahead.

Titus Bramble at Newcastle

Ss got it wrong. He's allowed to do so as he's new and he's not seen the players to the extent of most. Murphy did well,  but Randall and Sheehan are struggling atm. Think it was the best game we've seen so far for Randall.

Lots of positives, some good football on a god awful pitch which was embarrassingly poor.

We're a footballing passing team, the mud put a stop to that... poor reffing and a new player that's not match fit.

Onwards and upwards.
