I think he's just what we need right now, obviously not long term, but he'd steady the ship and probably get us in the play offs, and who knows what would happen after that. At least it'd give us time to find the right person to start next season with (if he doesn't work out) Quote
Deanu Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Emma Hayes or Sol Campbell for me. Purely football reasons Quote
L/H White Posted January 22 Posted January 22 2 games off wembley 3 points outside playoffs there won't a shortage of CV's landing on her desk this morning Quote

Popular Post barrycowdrill Posted January 22 Popular Post Posted January 22 (edited) No previous gaffers, no one with loyal historical links to the club or town. This appointment isn’t like before with Coyle or the Anderson era where the board need to make an emotional appointment. It should be on footballing merits with a medium to long term view and a completely clean slate there are enough credible people free now to avoid a temp appointment Edited January 22 by barrycowdrill Quote

Spent more time on the piss and shagging than in the training ground making the players stay in a hotel for home games so he could get is end away wasn’t popular with the players . Then is assistant making threats got exposed in the Sunday papers . Edited January 22 by Farnywhite Quote

Yep soon as Mjalby went it turned to shit. The financial issues only began to appear when the results were already on the slide Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 22 Site Supporter Posted January 22 I know Sam threw out that comment last week, but how may managers would want to be answering to a director of football? I doubt BSA would, so I simply can't see it. More chance of him coming on a temporary basis, maybe until the end of the season. Even then I very much doubt it. Perhaps he might help/advise on recruiting a new manager? Quote

If Sharon’s considering a long drawn out application/interview process that will take weeks so it wouldn’t surprise me to see Sam come in to help out for that period, possibly just a month until the new guys in. That wouldn’t cost much and given despite everything our top six hopes are still very possible I don’t think Sharon would want a void. Hopefully she’s already got a name in mind and there are no delays but if not I’d expect to see Sam in before the weekend. Quote

Of them all I wanted Lennon to be ‘the one’. But I don’t think we should be going back to Lennon or Sam. Schumacher would do for me. Quote
