  • Collins worked his balls off last night. He's a rolls royce at this level.  Lad needs building around.

Aside from his goal last week?…  he’d only been on the pitch 10 minutes 🤣

  • Solid win. Northampton were a tidy team and a lot better than I was expecting. We looked knackered for the most part (not a surprise after Saturday). Our first was brilliant, thought we’d cruise

Seems it's going to be a lot harder to get away post-match than it was last week...!

A bouncing Toughsheet under the lights - come onnn! Can't wait 🙂

A specific move and a good one from JD to put Lolos and Vic in, away to those opponents, to help us compete physically up the pitch. Randall ought to able to be back in for Lolos at home v Cobblers

Wouldn't be so hasty over Lolos.

They have toughened up defensively, so a taller, more physical player, may be very useful attacking earlier crosses.

Can see the idea being Randall too, just have to believe in JD.

Yep, fair point, Nolan's no doubt looking to make them tougher to beat and a physical challenge. Lolos is alright, has height and can be an awkward nuisance to defenders in behind the front two. I quite like him.

Yep, the return of the 6000 stayaways.

I'd be interested to know how many are there tomorrow compared to last Tuesday and also Mansfield, the only other 2 midweeks to date.  If anyone's ITK on these things post-match let us know.

The fact that its bloody cold won't help I don't suppose, plenty will watch from their living rooms but hopefully not as many as usual.

I’m not usually more than 500 out when guessing the gate.

i reckon there was only around 10k on against Charlton, i’d guess at nearer 14k tomorrow night ( the tannoy man will say 19k no doubt)

Is that a fact or a guess?

Fact.  probably didn't help Evatt.

About 6 around me missing too

For a Saturday match if there's a spare adult ticket going amongst the 8 or 9 I would know about, there's usually a decent chance of getting shut of it to a non ST holder who fancies a cheap game.  For midweek games, it never even gets to wasting anyone's breath, if anyone can't make it, there's zero chance of a non ST holder being arsed to go.

Even if only 12k max turn up tomorrow, which I suspect will be the case, nobody can measure the relative enthusiasm of those attending compared to last Tuesday.  I was there then, I'll be there Tuesday, so I still only count as 1 on the crowd stats, but I actually want to go to tomorrow rather than hoping it somehow gets called off 😀

Did Jules just say he had more than one plan? So, it is possible!

Another great, down to earth interview.  What an asset to the club he is, seems almost wasted being at youth level.

Cant miss seeing darby in the dugout in place of evatt... If anyones got a adult and kids spare ST not in use and want a few quid id love make this one.

The cheerful pragmatic approach - it’s so refreshing to hear rather than the dour overcomplicated bullshit we’ve been used to of late.

Go on Jules!

Three who sit on the same row as me were saying they'd had spares they couldn't give away.

Looking forward to seeing Nolan back tomorrow! 👍

Great servant to the club nobby.

He was, but for now, bollocks to that.

Don't want a love in.

Strangely, I'm less comfortable about tomorrow than I was on Saturday.

Expectation is back on, and so is the pressure.

We don't want an "after the Lord Mayor's show" job, and I don't think it will be easy at all, and they'll need to crowd behind them, and maybe with some patience.

Think I’d be tempted to make a couple of changes.

I agree with the paragraph in the BEN:

“It was a back to basics plan, most un-Bolton-like, in fact. But to take three points against Northampton Town on Tuesday night will require an entirely different way of thinking”

Lolos and Vic both did a good job on Saturday with the way we played. But is this more a game for Randall and Sheehan?

                   Southwood

         Jones.  Forrester  Jonhston

Cogley.          Sheehan          Schon

                Morley.    Tommo

                        Randall

                        Collins.

Nah got to go with 2 strikers at home.

Sheehan Tomo and Randall behind Vic and Collins
