Taking each game as it comes in this run of tough ones, a good, well earned point that we'd have had little expectation of a month ago.  More evidence of SS's impact on the mentality of the squad

  • ie and his bum chums on here were a big blow to this season. So obvious it was going tits up but we were told to stop being moaners. That said, it’s gone. For me it’s a free hit this season. If w

13 games, 39 points to play for, I think we'll comfortably get 25-30 of those points, which'll puts us on 80ish points for the season. Not worried about finishing in the play offs in the slightest, and now Evatt's gone, i think we stand a really decent chance of promotion.

No not at all. He got a good reception from us. They booed him off. My best guess is cos they were in for him when he signed for us 🤷‍♂️

Take that point all day long

wasn’t pretty and low on quality. 13 attempts each and 1 on target each shows that.

But, getting anything on the road especially at teams in and around you is always a decent result

Will give the lads some extra confidence they can withstand pressure like that. We’d of lost that game 2 months ago

It was similar to Wycome away though. Two poor sides (on the day), we were wasteful in possession but did OK defensively. Keepers hardly had a shot to save in both games, just take the point and move on, but both games very much L1 standard.

He looks smart

What's gone is gone. But it does frustrate and even annoys me to think of some of the games that we've bottled or just not performed in this year under IE. He way outstayed his welcome and did considerable damage to this season. Totally a mute point, I know but what could have been with Steven from game 1?

Not arsed as we could take em.

If Evatt had been removed when he should have been, Schumacher wouldn’t have been available.

Big, quality, grass covered pitch at Wembley too.

SS would have made the play offs at a canter even with an Evatt team.

Give our manager time to get his own players in & we'll  be right up amongst the top 3.

He was available in September. Would have been plenty of time.

Yeth, sho wot?

Thought our passing, final ball and hold up play was poor for most of the game so there’s plenty to work on. Schuey suggested that was in part down to Wrexham’s pressing which certainly didn’t help, but the thing is we’ve seen them play some fluid, high tempo stuff under pressure before and we could do with bringing that every game instead of putting us through the wringer.

We’re definitely going in the right direction but we’re still some way off Championship quality - we’re slowly getting there though. See how we go against Brum.

In which case, with the possible exception of Birmingham, no one is championship quality.

Turning into a reasonable record so far against the top sides.

It doesn't matter how good or not the team is with regards to the championship- we simply have to be good enough to get promoted.

Seemed to be IE's blind spot: get ready for the championship, without realising that it wouldn't just happen because he thought we had the best team.

We’d have been recruiting in June!

The casm between,  div 1 and championship is massive and will continue to grow exponentially. The only exceptions to this will be hugh spending, which may be even a stretch Birmingham and Wrexham. Watch top half champ football and they are superior in every element of the game. Likewise the jump from champs to Premier league. Promotion and consolidation is a very tough gig. But hopefully,  we'll cross that bridge.....
