April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post I wouldn't have wanted to be one of our soft arsed fannies in that dressing room after the game......SS was still clearly fuming, he was virtually shaking with rage there......there is going to be a lot of change this summer in personnel and attitude.

Can’t believe we are still only 3 points off the play-offs Lots of disappointment, but the only anger I have is to Evatt, he’s left us with such a disjointed squad. Ah well at least Lincoln isn’t a dead rubber. COYW Said it about last season mate. Blackpool were absolutely diabolical all season and still were a last day win from making the play offs. It's harder not to make them ffs. He's fucking fuming on that interview 😤

I don't get me started on this not trying for headers shite. I was considering that he’d got a special dispensation from the club doctor due to some previous serious head injury. Defies logic otherwise.

His socks, his shit waddle/jog, fucking no headers, his shit Amish beard. Probably says more about me than him😁 Can't argue, I really thought we had signed a bit of quality but he's been abysmal and gives off the impression that he thinks he's a cut above the rest with his arm waving and shoulder shrugging when he's played his umpteenth aimless pass to no one.
April 18, 20251 yr 18 minutes ago, gonzo said: I don't mean now. I mean when he runs out of ideas with this crop of shite like Evatt did. He's only got three games with them! After that, it's freedom for him to do a reset. Irrespective of what we as fans think of Matete and Lolos; he has managed them before, and Matete will go back to Sunderland, and I can see Lolos being loaned out. Two squad places straight away. Randall possibly loaned out too, unless there is a change to how we play, or if Sheehan/Morley is sold. Murphy will go back, so another one. Assuming Santos goes, possibly Baxter, and any other who's contract is up, there are plenty of spaces for SS to get his own fellas in.
April 18, 20251 yr Wonder which players SS would actually want to keep say that they were all out of contract? Maybe Toal, Thomasson, Sheehan, Morley and maybe Collins, really struggling which players SS actually thinks can take us forward.

Successive managers have played him regularly, and he clearly possess something that they appreciate and respect. A few more showing his commitment wouldn't go amiss.

April 18, 20251 yr When you get to this stage of the season most players are playing with knocks ect it’s the old adage of when your doing well everyone wants to play when things are going wrong some players will hide and we have probably got a few sitting it out with a few strains and don’t want to put there head a over the parapet. Tomo will give him credit for not shying away and Dempsey and Johnston as well
April 18, 20251 yr 42 minutes ago, Zico said: Fair play to Wycombe like but it's not like they did a job on us, they just sat back and waited for their chances to come, and when they did, took them All they showed is that, to do well in this league, you just need to be effective. As SS said, and you, don't make mistakes and take your chance when it comes along. Could see that as their plan 15 minutes in. They waited for us to cock up, we did, twice in the lead up to their goal and that was it

April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post He was bang on when he said that to do well in this league you need pace and physicality and we have neither. By design! Because we had people who thought they knew better. It beggars belief what a fuck up Evatt, Sharon and the rest of the set up have made of this squad.
April 18, 20251 yr 35 minutes ago, FrancisFogarty said: Schumacher says the right things. About that lad, he came in and bashed them about. It'll be reet. but not this season. Just hope he stays... he really needs the backing of the board to carry out the purge and I hope he gets it. After this month, if I was a player I would be ashamed to bank my pay-cheque. Looking back, he needed to have been a total bastard with them from the outset but he believed the spin put out by the club PR man around their "heroic" abilities and showed them too much respect... referring to them by their matey nicknames instead of Mr McAtee and Mr Collins etc... and here he is now making excuses for the overpaid journeymen. Anyone for the lap of honour at the last game?
April 18, 20251 yr Schu in his interview Lack of physicality to hold the ball up No pace throughout the squad bar Tutu so can't hurt teams in transition or counter at speed Soft all around, mentioned bringing in some characters with experience into the squad with a knack of knowing how to grind wins. Three of our most biggest glaring issues over the past few years what we never ever address season on season but instead stock pile similar mould of player type that's not needed. Glad he's seen our issues over this period & can address them in the summer rather than waste another season having the issues getting glaringly exposed. All comes down to if he gets backed, if he does I'm fully confident he'll make us hard to beat & able to grind wins.

As we've said before, there won't be massive changes, as many are still under contract, but those who are about to become free agents could have signed already, or have been told they're not getting another one. There will be plenty of spaces created, and who knows, that may inspire one or two who remain under, who have been below par, to buck their ideas up.
April 18, 20251 yr Dont think I've ever seen a Bolton team so consistently shit out of tackles, refuse to contest headers and fail to attempt to block crosses....including turning their back on them. Even if they were as talented as treacle ball would have had us believe it would have been a big ask to get them to win the big games we have failed so miserably in most of the time.

I love Sharon and most of what she (and the board) have done, but the delay in potting IE and Markham (?) has seen standards drop like our form. It’s a fucking big problem next season for someone. Hope it’s SS and he can deliver what we have been crying out for since Wembley. A hard case captain who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and make enemies if it’s needed.
April 18, 20251 yr Popular Post Just now, Rival Son said: Thomason always gets credit for effort but ability is League 2, at best. He needs the game to be played quicker for sure, and being free to press high up out of possession. The slow, sideways and backwards does him no favours, as he's not as comfortable with the ball as say Sheehan. Played at pace; his willingness to look for early through balls, and chase down balls stands us in good stead. Not sure another player (maybe Dempsey) would have chased the lost cause, that ultimately lead to us winning at Wigan. Out of all our squad, he was the one player that another, higher club bid on. They would not have done so on a league 2 standard player. And he chose to stay. Says a lot about his character.
April 18, 20251 yr "WE CAN'T HAVE A BIG CLEAR OUT." is nonsense. Remember, many of the players we have that need to go are still fairly young, they wont want to be sat around not getting match time at the top of league 1 vs being at a lower, league 1 team or a top league 2 team for similar money. We might not get a massive return on investment on the likes of McAtee, but we signed GT and quite a few others for free.
