Posh have farmed those leagues well enough over the years, found some nuggets that have actually played for them, Chris Conn-Clarke being the latest (non league to 27 appearances this season), no reas

18 goals in 95 appearances btw.

£160k per goal.

Yep. I’m completely speculating. Trafford had a rough ride at Accy Stanley prior to joining us on loan. I remember a lot of fans being critical of IE for bringing him in but he was brilliant.

Hopefully SS can find another one!

I think much of the anxiety about bringing in another relatively untested young keeper was based on how poor Crellin & Dixon had been.

Barnsley folk on Twatter after getting McAtee back, maybe in a swap deal with Phillips.

Hopefully not, he only turns up half the time according to my Barnsley mates over here and otherwise just goes missing. We need better than that. I’d take Luca, or better still Keillor-Dunn but please not Philips.

I'm probably in the minority on here, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a new keeper as a number 1 coming in, Southwood is ok, but just have a feeling that he won't be our number 1 next season, number 2 at best.

I’m with you on this. I reckon Schumacher thinks he can improve the goalie dept.

Keillor-Dunn's scoring stats from midfield are unreal, last 4 or 5 years.

If Randall is "worth" £1mil god knows what he'd cost.  Also has to be one of the few players to have scored at Reebok for 2 different away clubs in the same season (same nets too).  Both quality finishes.  He'd walk into any L1 team.

Exactly my thinking. I'd drive McAtee there but wouldn't be rushing to bring Phillips back. Put a hood over Keillor Dunn and bungle him in the boot instead.

Straight swap for Connell.

Comments underneath mentioning us

How old is he again?

Curious as to why there would be a compensation package if he's out of contract?

I really hope you're right.

I don't ever want to see it again.

Roughan by name roughan by nature. He'll do for me.

I just checked who he was playing for, his last club was Mickleover in Northern Premier League, after leaving Worksop.  He retired 6 months ago at 31.  Him and Greenidge were going to rip up L2, with Comley, Hickman and White dominating midfield.  They were strange times.

I don't mind Johnston but really don't think we should just settle for him, he's not been the same player since his bad injury, is genuinely awful in possession, after Jones's departure I would say he is now one of our most error prone players with the ball.

His defending and aggression can be too notch tho.

Division three centre halves shouldn't be expected to be spraying possession about with aplomb.

SS has said he wants width, and players to run in behind.

More options for the defenders - more direct or more space in midfield to pick out someone there.

Evatt's constant desire to win matches by having defenders passing it to each other was OK initially, but was found out.

We could do with a strong, physical centre half, who can-out pace and out muscle their strikers, who wins the long high balls, who doesn’t need to worry about much more than keeping a clean sheet and passing it as far forward as Sheehan or Morley.

Santos of 3 years ago would be ideal. He was a man mountain. Then Evatt turned him into the player who he became for the last 18 months or so.

The lack of someone up field who can win a header has meant the lack of an out-ball when the press is on.
This will still need addressing.
Non-jumpers like McAtee need not apply.

Another Evatt ploy.

Collins does show some quick movement at times, but it needs to go to him quickly.

Too slow and he's marked again when he gets it, and loses out physically.

Not cohesive.

When they do get it right-Birmingham- the team is good.

Just don't do it often enough.

Johnston looked more comfortable recently when we played a 4 and he had Murphy to his left. Lost yard of pace has left him exposed a bit as left of a 3 as season's worn on.

You're right though, options for defenders and keeper to go longer, cutting the risk level down, would help him. We've given way too many goals away farting about in our third, losing it then being out of position. SS alluded to it the other day

I agree until the last four words, which I’d replace with Forrester to his right.

Nigel Lonjwijk is out of contract in June. [wolves]....6"5 centre back  played 35 games in Schumacher title winning team at Plymouth and has also had spells at Wycombe Fortuna Sittard  and Huddersfield last season

One that Schumacher will certainly be interested in

A little worried by some of the rumours, hope some of the below isn't going on:
