Superb picture that.

It is indeed.

Anyway, overall decent for a pre season friendly.

Not much for any of the forwards, though unlike Boris, I felt the second half, we pressed much quicker, from the top.

Heat maybe slowed them down a touch, but the game was won.

Nothing overly special, but Max Conway stood out particularly for me.

Ss saying we aew looking at getting a couple of big characters into the squad,Ā  what's robbie Blake upto ?Ā  Ā Plus he's a striker so there's another tick.Ā

Tell you what, Abimbola looked exactly like that big strong forward we've been missing. Wouldn't be too surprised if he's on the teamsheet come the start of the season, but I imagine he'll go out on loan.

We did after a while but that 5 mins after HT we looked like we'd stopped pressing from the front. Inexperience from Lawrence, perhaps? But they got onto it and really stopped them playing through the middle of the pitch

I thought Lawrence was the one doing the pressing. Quite quick, and supported by the wider players.

First half we didn't press early.Ā

Kept our shape, and when we could, used big Dave's feet and size.

Wasn't a great watch; stolid, defensively sound, created little.

Bastard hot, pre season friendly. All a bit meh, but a decent win.

Quality that.

I'm sure SS will soon learn the words! 😁

Reckon he'll have been on the full rendition of born to be a Wanderer and Indian corn song by the end of the night :D

I know every club says it but we really do have something special at Bolton.

There's a connect and pull that grabs managers and players. Even our last manager for all his sins was completely invested in the club at one point.

There's plenty who have been grabbed look back with fondness when they leave.Ā

Treat us well, we will love you forever...
