IF the fee is right I’d be OK with him leaving purely because of what we could do with the cash IF it was used on improving the squad.

I’m the same about any of them leaving should have been a clear out after Oxford then when they throw the towel in end of the season just showed there calibre of most . 
But  tomo does seem a good character  last season he seemed to go backwards in is development if he stays he definitely needs to improve on last year and kick on

I've said that i wouldn't be bothered about any player  leaving with McAtee & Collins top of the list, but I now find that i'd be disappointed if Thommo left.

We can't complain about the lack of effort / fighting spirit & then be pleased when the one player who's got lots of it , is linked to a move.

How many coaches has he had throughout his career? There's no coach that is going to improve him anymore now. He's 24 not 17.  He is the player he is. Like him or otherwise. 

If he's the one that's attracting interest and the fee is good, then sell him.

he puts the effort in and he's not a bad player

he used to do my head in though with his yellow cards, beacuse the vast majority were just fucking stupid

it was either he was being told to get stuck in even though he's no good at it and lacks judgement, or just trying too hard under the pressure of the captaincy

he certainly seemed to calm down when SS came in as I don't recally any daft yellows after he did

also not arsed either way, but if the money can bring in a decent and better player in another position fine by me because we have plenty in midfield at the moment

True. But if someone has mentioned that Huddersfield have made an approach and followed it up with “we’d want at least £1.5 million for that to happen” then you’ve got the embryo of a rumour.

Fair point on the yellows. They were stupid. I think as you say over time this comes from our previous management team whether direction or just shit management.

So I’ll not hold that against him.

Got nothing against him but if we got anything near £1.5 I'd hope we'd take it and strengthen the team.I personally think he's reached his peak

FWIW - I think if all of our players had the same attitude as GT we'd have been promoted a couple of seasons back. 

We've problems in the squad - but he isn't one of them in my opinion. 

Woundn't be gutted if he left - but I do think it would leave us weaker unless we've got someone special lined up. And we also need to stop selling our better players to Huddersfield. 

I think they will romp this season.

The question for me is ability. Solid L1, but not sure about higher. If this rumoured price is anything like true, it’s a no-brainer to let him go, for me. To be honest, this applies at half this price.

I suspect the "problems" in our squad have already been removed.

That is a very good point.

They're chucking money about, and won't be going for players they don't think will improve them and get them promoted. 

Hence a decent player leaving, and potentially making life doubly difficult for us.

As above though, if the management team feel its good enough, and they can strengthen as they see fit, then so be it.

Would be a disappointment to see such a committed player go though.

Always liked tommo for his effort (and Blackpool goals) but it’s ultimately another chalked off the Oxford Wembley bottlers list which puts us down to 3 left of those that started. 2 of which I wouldn’t want rid of.

Get that, but out of those left still wouldn’t want to lose Sheehan, Cogley or Morley who was on the bench as they’ve done enough since that game.
