Lincoln City (H)

Just seen they’ve won 3 of their first 4. Bit of a cliche but don’t seem many easy games atm, at least on paper.  I’m going a deserved but edgy 2-1 win.  Still not firing on all cylinders for a while.

On SS, he's never really been the happy go lucky type, and thankfully doesn't go through the emotional ups and downs that IE did. I still get info from the club and know people down at the training ground. He's a very intense character, and doesn't get too close to anyone on the playing squad or support staff (not sure about his own coaching staff). Indeed he's upset a few people along the way (but perhaps was necessary to stamp his authority). He'll certainly want to get some wins, but I think his demeanour on Weds was probably related to the dominance and lack of win - fairly natural from a manager I'd say.

The literal definition of illiterati is - people who are not well educated or well informed about a particular subject.

It came across as condescending, but maybe that wasn't the intention.

Anyway, SS is safe. This team has too much talent to go on any kind of losing run. And I'll stick by my guns. Top 6, possibly top 2 depending what happens next week. I think we have the makings of a special team here, but it will require some patience.

I'd be more concerned if he wasn't looking a bit tetchy after this start to the season. Good to see he's looking frustrated with the start, and I've been impressed with the clear out of certain personalities he's done.

2-0 victory.     Burstow and toal.

(After 1 spare ,preferably esl if anybody can't make tomorrow)  cheers

3-0 to us, with one each for Dalby and Burstow.

Or a 2-1 defeat, with a thundertwat from CD.

Still not convinced by us yet

Probably another draw

Really struggling with this bit!

Haven’t changed the personnel from when?’

The last game? 4 changes.

From last season? We’re bedding in half a new squad!! 🤣

I can’t remember going through so much of an overhaul in terms of personnel, tactics, structure and formation. 😂

For goodness sake I’m talking about since Wednesday, neither the personnel we’ve got, by which I mean the squad, nor the system we’re playing, will have changed so if nothings changed why expect anything different to happen? We’ve played four games so far and as far as I can see we’ve been the better team in all of them but we’ve won only one of them. Why? Because we can’t score but we still concede. Unless those things change why should it be any different tomorrow is all I’m saying so how difficult is that to understand?

Because our manager will change things around,

Aye there's not a change this mon is so stubborn to keep persisting with a system and personnel that's not working.

He'll chop it up if he needs to.

Imo he doesn't need to now as we are close to absolutely burying folk.

I think Lincoln are playing the same formation as us going off their lineups so far this season, so this should be a big test for us as they've also had a great start. One positive for us though, is I'm pretty sure Lincoln have been desperate to sign a left back this season as they lost Roughan to Huddersfield, hopefully Duberry and co can capitalise on this.

But your initial statement, direct quote was this;

“Since we haven’t changed the personnel”

So I asked over what time period you were talking about.

You’ve now changed.

Now you are saying from Wednesday, getting mixed up with your tenses

So maybe you can now see why it’s difficult to understand what you are actually saying? 😁

Same drivel different topic heading on here every day now.   Going downhill fast is ww.    Old skool cull ?

Come On You Whites!!!

It slowly comes together one game at a time, 2-0 Bolton and a great performance all round. McAtee and Randall to score

How many Lincoln sold ?  Can get a bit lively these lot.    . My guess about 800.

Best not to interact and he'll go back to talking to himself with his 2 accounts.

Score first and early, we win, because we'll score more.

Well looking at the Imps site the majority are betting on the time Erhahon is getting sent off. Wouldn’t surprise me if Morley starts instead today with Ethan coming on later since he’s had long runs in the last two.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see some personnel changes today 😁

Agree with Toal. Possibly Cogley and one of Morley/Sheehan wouldn’t surprise me, to rest some tired legs.

A bit more controversial, especially for the haters, but for the same reasons, Mcatee for Randall isn’t incomprehensible.

But like you, despite my pregame anticipation and predictions, I really don’t care, I trust SS to get it right and never start to criticise when he doesn’t go the same way as me.

Cheers by the way - all delivered 😉

Very good 🤣

I think playing Wednesday night means we will see changes. Toal will deffo come back. I'd expect Cogley back (unless he's got a knock). I think Mcatee comes in for Randall. I'd expect Erhahon to drop out for Sheehan. I think long term Erhahon Simons is the partnership.

These are coming here with confidence. Hopefully they fancy it and push on and leave gaps for us to exploit. Let's have more shots on target and we will be reet.
