I'm assuming that's big Davy Banks from Colwyn Bay and his brother Richard.  They've been travelling from there, home and away, since the 80s.  Chatted with them at or travelling to many an away game back in the day.  If not watching us he watches "the Bay" home & away.  (His late Dad Alan was born in Walkden & supported Bolton but moved to Wales in the 60s, he was secretary & director at Bay for decades till about 2000).

Corners aside I thought he was excellent. Did a lot of tough tackling and using the ball really well.

The issue today was Forss wasn't really on it so there was no infield option for him to play to.

On the game as a whole, I thought we were better than Cardiff but we seemed to be in a no risk mode so crossing opportunities and throw ins into their box were constantly being rejected. Little bit more adventure and I think we win today much more easily as we were better than them all over the park

Forss and Burstow were off today but are still quality and will both score many more goals this season.

To be fair so did Conway.  Fair play to Taylor I thought he stuck at it and wasn't a downgrade on Conway either offensively or defensively.  Quite pleased for him and Morley that they've both come on for the last 10 minutes or so last 2 games and we've scored 3 goals and got 5 extra points.  Obviously could just be coincidence but they played their part - but we won both games so the "don't change a winning team" vote will keep them on the bench, along with Dalby.

He put a shift in as did many others. It was proper defending as a team, even though we had to sacrifice some of our attacking options to wear them down.

Taylor's a hard one to weigh up, sometimes looks a bit out of position but then gets back and gets a foot in. Got nifty feet on the ball. The lad they brought on at right wing was decent and pepped them up a bit

JDC was shit, yet he was involved in keeping a clean sheet and got the assist for the goal.

We were lucky, yet we created many opportunities against the tightest away defence in the league and scored the first goal in open play they have conceded away from home.

We played well, defended well, kept going and scored an amazing goal. We kerp building on this and the Huddersfield result and we can do this.

Clean sheet. Got forward lots his energy is exceptional. His crossing ain’t great but we are a League One team our players are not perfect. 
 

Randel linking up with JDC to get the ball to ACD for the goal would probably annoy the folks that sit behind us. They are fucking loons.

I don't know about immense, he's an attacker and was pretty anonymous on that front. But he absolutely put a shift in.

It was noticeable that we lost control of the game when he went off and we went Dalby-Burstow, then we looked much better again once Randall came on to play deeper. Not convinced by Dalby & Burstow as a pair, even though the sample size is limited.

Cardiff are one paced and  a bit boring, they didn't create one chance in 94 minutes.

They ponce around with the ball nice enough,  but  just don't create anything.

They came for a point and got fuck all.

Also worth noting that his anticipation and general command of the box also prevents a lot of shots.

Despite what that particular stat says he had a really good game today. He very much played his part in that clean  sheet.

Yes definitely.

Schumacher again deserves a lot of credit for today.

Some key decisions paying off again; sticking with the same side, good subs, purposefully giving up possession of the ball so we could get in two blocks to defend, in game tactical tweaks and some fantastic man management since the Burton game helping players to go out there and remain confident (Burstow, Morley, Dalby, Cogley, ACD and Toal spring to mind)

Taylor just needs game time, he looked best player we'd signed pre-season. Unfortunately for him Conway is owning it.

In fairness it wasn’t really a game to suit a number 10. Extremely tight and not much space for him to operate. Worked hard and rarely lost possession, can see why he’s played at a higher level most of his career. 

Watching the highlights it was pretty apparent how often nicked the ball of them and launched an attack, the best example was Toal reading the pass, intercepting and then advancing with the ball, absolutely brilliant to see and that bravery allowed ACD's magic moment.

Yesterday was one of those games that you don't want to take your young children to as they would be bored, one for the purists both sets of fans trying to get their teams going , when we showed intent to get the game flowing we gave the ball away to easy and that killed the flow of the game Cardiff looked happy to slow the game down and take away any momentum we had but we kept going till the end and showed great belief that we could get something and we did! a really good 3 points and the team now showing what we can do, great spirit in the camp 

The bend on that shot is ridiculous. No wonder the keeper didn’t budge….
