Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Maybe the training should be eased a touch. Just run through tactics, and give the bodies time to rest and heal. Worked for BSA. Quote

They should have been 4 nil up at half time and I said they would staying up at the top al season in the weeks after that. We need to go on a ridiculous run this next 13 games to have a hope of catching them for second. I agree they were impressive in the first half and scored a great goal (not unlike the Dalby equaliser at Huddersfield) but not sure where you get 4-0 H-T? They had a couple of half chances and that game stands out because it was the one TSL made a save in (routine, near post shot). The best save was by the Lincoln keeper from Randall from inside the 6 yard box after 3 consecutive shots, keeper was celebrating like he'd scored. On the balance of play we should have won that game but were grateful for a point in the end. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 23 Posted January 23 After wearing other things than my usual match day attire for the last few home games where we've been rubbish I'm switching back to lucky wanders boxers and socks so we should win. It's the only logical reason we've been shit recently. Quote

Easy . The team is almost going to pick itself finally and we are going up , unless we somehow get Barnsley in the play-offs . If we had a striker like we had under any of those managers I'd be as confident as you - any of John Thomas, Walker, McGinlay, Doyle, Dapo all in Div 3 or 4; Ricketts and Holdsworth in the championship. Currently (pre-transfer deadline day) we are as impotent up front as I've ever known, going back 50 years. Quote

And he's playing at the hardest ground in the league to score at 😀 That was a cracking hat-trick last week though. Quote

bolton va va Posted January 23 Posted January 23 4-0 @ 18/1 & 4-1@ 20/1, though i'm not sure who's going to score the goals ( or if we'll score 4 this month 🙂) & after playing well in 2 games for Orient, Forrester is showing the same form he showed for us ........he's injured !! Quote

Eddie Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I know we’re at home so it’s different, but I’m not sure how I feel about changing a defence that has kept 2 clean sheets in a row - especially by removing the player that seems to be the one that’s firmed it up! On the other hand, our home record says you don’t change anything - it’s working just fine. 2-1 McAtee and Dempsey Quote

Don't suppose he'll be too happy being taken out of that back 5 neither. Another for the exit door! Quote
bwfc4ife Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Johnston should drop out, he was fucking dire at Stevenage. Liability that lad Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Accept there are different views on this but we're a team that currently struggles to score 2 in a game. Being more open and giving one away will make for another long afternoon of shithousing and weak refereeing. Nullify any attacking threat and their top scorer, keep the back door shut and, when the chance arises to win 1-0, for fuck's sake take it. If we've to grind out a few wins like that, while we hopefully get in a bit more goal power, so be it Quote
