  • Sam Dalby. The man was possessed today, one of the best striker performances I’ve seen for us in ages. Hold up play, link up play, winning duels, getting us up the pitch, threat from set pieces/crosse

I think there should be some mention of the Grade A shithousery by the WSL faithful when we were under the pump at the death. Barnsley rush the spare ball to their long throw specialist, he’s winding

That’s kind of the point. It’s no coincidence that Dalby’s renaissance has coincided with McAtee’s upturn in form. It’s almost as if two players with differing styles can actually complement each othe

I wish Connell played for us. He'd be our best midfielder by some stretch

Reckon he'd love to come back personally.

I always think left peggers have an elegance about em, like David Gower.

Not so much super jimmy phillips

I don't.

He hardly touched the ball first half, much better second but because Phillips was introduced and they connected well, as they have over the years. Phillips was as big a difference maker for them

Would he? What did he do today that was so good? First half he was fucking dreadful

He scored a deflected shot. That's it. Plays the simple ball every time. He's hyped up every time we play them and makes no difference. He's fucking shit and he can stay there.

The former Bolton player that a actually made a difference was Ogbeta. He had a good game when he came on made a big difference. Put some great balls in.

Not sure Connel gets in our team

Class fisrt half. Probably the best so far this season at home in terms of appetite, intent, domination. Could’ve been 5. McAtee was knitting everything together and every set piece was on the money.

fair play to Barnserley coming back into it, but once we settled again in the second half, we looked more like scoring another than conceding an equaliser.

Just wish the score line would’ve represented the performance as the fans are still nervous as fuck, albeit much much better today

Fantastic first half… thankfully we had the back up on bench to close the door on the comeback,  the scrap at the station was touch naughty… be some arrests methinks.

Right in front of us. It wasn’t even debatable.

I was sat in line in West Upper, clear as day. Scott Oldham is a crap ref we've had previous with but wasn't helped there one iota by that linesman

If we get at them from the off and score the first goal we should be fine, but if we concede first it could be tricky.

I think you were right....but maybe you could have put we should be alright as long as we score the first 4 😀

That was like Orient a couple of years ago, 3 up at H-T.  And both times we conceded two in 5 minutes upto the 60th minute, then held on, wierd similarity.

Exciting game, proper match.

Having a player like Dalby away at Lincoln next weekend is going to be absolutely massive.

No injuries please.

Lincoln and Cardiff look untouchable but we can beat anybody on our day. And under Schuey I have faith in him when it comes to the really big games.

Long way to go still.

One thing that really impresses me about Dalby is his temperament

I’m on a Sam Dalby love-in tonight. 100% agree on this. For the shirt-pulling and fouls against he gets, he never complains (perhaps he should!) and remains focused and resolute.

It was a fantastic forwards display from him today

That looked like a proper set-to.

Not sure who was who but they were all getting stuck right in. Doors will go in for that.

You say same team so all of Conway, Sheehan, Simons, Gale, Rodriquez and Kenny do not start.......We will have some bench

Even I didn't think there would be no changes at all!  I just didn't expect to see any new signings.

Turns out only 2 of those 6 were even on the bench - it mattered not, great first half as per last week, job done.

Liner's job that too. Pathetic

He surely had the clearest view of the lot

Perfectly ok with GJ out at LB by the way

makes us look far more solid with Forino as one of the 2 CBs and as Johnstone is more defensively minded than Conway, we look a lot more organised and less open to the counter

with CBT being so direct and his first thought being to get at their full back, we also don’t lose any attacking threat with Johnstone being in there

Barnsley 0 please

That was a whole lot better than the solid clean sheets we managed to get v Northampton, Stevenage and Bradford!  Great game, even better result.

Why do keepers always save their best for us? Goodmans been shite all season but he’s keeping them in it.

Not really - Tickle at Wigan has helped us in both games and is supposedly decent, Burton keeper helped Dalby win it for us recently.  Not many games when the oppo keeper has had to save many decent efforts if we're honest.  Goodman played well today (ignoring the handball outside the box).

Agree on this, he’s solid enough and can actually put a cross in too from deep.

Talking of full backs, it looked like Tutu’s injury was his knee - if so, we’re down to one right back for the foreseeable. Shame because he was really starting to settle into the role and actually looking more solid defensively.

Bizarrely just been talking about Phylis and her son Martin.

Thought of you and the Leyland lot straight away.

He did. He was right in line of it. Absolutely bottled it could tell with how he reacted.
