  • Sam Dalby. The man was possessed today, one of the best striker performances I’ve seen for us in ages. Hold up play, link up play, winning duels, getting us up the pitch, threat from set pieces/crosse

I think there should be some mention of the Grade A shithousery by the WSL faithful when we were under the pump at the death. Barnsley rush the spare ball to their long throw specialist, he’s winding

That’s kind of the point. It’s no coincidence that Dalby’s renaissance has coincided with McAtee’s upturn in form. It’s almost as if two players with differing styles can actually complement each othe

Just back .Well that was harder than it should have been

3-0 and coasting to 3-2 and shitting myself

1st half outstanding,2nd half they came out with nothing to lose, lucky deflection for there 1st

Crowd excellent

Mom Dalby closely followed by Bonham 2 belting saves

Good three points but we don’t half make it hard. Proper game of two halves as was last weekend. Ah well, 6 points from both will do nicely.

Credit where it’s due to Dalby, I’ve been one of his biggest critics and I have to put that right and say fair play to him. A run of games and he’s shown us all that he can be the man.

Shout out to Forino as well, thought he looked a beast today.

Officiating was terrible once again, where do they get these clowns?

Mcatee good first half, second half looked lost for me.

Dempsey's dead ball delivery was superb, why has it taken so long for him to get to take them

Anyone spot their no.5. come over to the coach in the dugout whilst they were waiting for us to come back out for the second half? The coach was trying to teach him how to defend against Dalby - I could almost lip read him say as he came over that he doesn’t know how to deal with him.

First time I’ve seen someone literally get coached how to defend mid game - says a lot about Dalby though, he absolutely destroyed that lad. I was very surprised to see him come out for the second half.

Not doubting there’s a footballer in there, but his attitude is fucking  rank.

All the while getting shoved, pushed shirt pulled and that knob of a ref gave fuck all. Finally gave a free kick in 87th min and booked him. Nice one

You could be right , I dunno what his attitude is but he looked well up for it for 60 mins . His press was great first half and I think hed just burned out after an hour .

I saw that too, 5 minutes of the coach manhandling him into the positions he needed to be in to do better against him. Compliment to Dalby, he'd terrorised the lad for 45 minutes

Dalby immense. Like watching a centre forward from 20 years ago that today.

Can we say Dalby and Kevin Davies in the same sentence?

Reminds me of him.

Another win.....

5 wins, 1 draw.....

Even I'll admit it was too close to comfort after that first half, we should've scored 5 or 6 by HT......

But we won eventually, that's all that matters?

Onwards & Upwards....

Tough game next Saturday at Lincoln....

We said it a couple of times today, especially that little touch he did out wide to get himself enough space from the defender and play Apter back in.

Lovely win.

great first half, they had a go and made it tighter than should’ve been but, 3 points.

officiating in this league is abysmal. How was that not handball from the keeper.

players to come in as well. Bodes well for an exciting run in.

Been one of his biggest critics but first half was best he's played since Birmingham last season, showed he can be effective just off a big man and close to others who want to join in around the edge of their box.

His problem's always been fitness and fading after 70 mins or so. He wasn't alone though, which was the issue as we ended up grinding it out. Apter drifted out of it, which caused Tutu to struggle against Ogbeta (who did quite well for them), and Erhahon, not for the first time, was plodding by 65-70 minutes.

The conundrum with us is we're good at keeping at it to score late winners when the game's panning out like that but not so good at resisting teams who come at us in a sustained way in a second half.

McAtee and Dalby were top notch today. They both put themselves about today.

Second half went to shit though.

I wish Connell played for us. He'd be our best midfielder by some stretch

For the last few games yes. Apart from the “Welcome to the ‘bok tackle early on”.

I don't.

Fantastic first half that, dalby immense.

Would love Connell in our team. Such a classy player.

roll on Lincoln.

Who was the crackpot a few weeks ago that predicted we'd win 10 of the next 12???

He was miles off, we're 12/12 at this rate

Bonham MOTM.

You spelt Dalby wrong.

Feel much happier with an old head in the nets, instead of that wet wipe TSL. Bonham made some great saves today.

One thing that really impresses me about Dalby is his temperament. Would be so easy for him to get pissed off with all the pushing and shirt pulling on him, and getting nothing from the referee. But he never looks flustered or looks like he’d get booked for decent or giving verbals to shit referees, just gets on with it.

Thats what reminds me of SKD rather than anything else .
