Burton Albion (H)

Definately owe them one, after they beat us at their's. On paper we've got the easier match of the clubs in the top eight. Nothing less than 3 points.

Sam dalby take a bow son, you’ve had to bide your time, you’ve worked your bollocks off since getting into the team. Mom tonight.

  • Lead the line and linked up play all night then bags two. Some of you really are thickos.

At home with no out and out striker makes it so easy for Burton

What an awful first half Dalby got to be the slowest striker I have ever seen we are toothless how the fuck are we 3rd Burton look more threatening than us and we are at home.

When it's flat all our lot just settle into it with no initiative to get out of it.

We will be lucky to get a point way this is going

Burton look more than capable of scoring

What worries me is they have a lad called Lofthouse so it feels inevitable

Pretty much as anticipated.

Have to find a way- Lincoln 2 up against Bradford, so we could put a little space between us and them.

Stockport 2 up at Evatt as well.

We have suddenly become a team playing Evattball.

Johnston what the fuck was you doing?

Dalby slowest player in League 1.

Awful

You slept through your alarm again. This is all a (bad) dream…

I still just dont understand the Dalby signing, he has nobody to play off him and we still rarely cross it and when we do it is generally way overhit giving him no hope.

He can hold it up and i am sure given the right service he would grab a few, but playing like this he is just a stump

Predicted subs anyone?

Desmond for Christie.

Burstow for McAtee, and maybe Gale too, but not sure who for.

Honesty, who here thinks that was anything other than another turgid display so far? Why are we so shit on the ball? It’s fucking boring to watch at the minute.

All this nonsense about one of the best squads in the league is bollocks. In this 11, we’re weak on either flank at the back, have nobody in the middle that can pass the ball forward, everyone else is just pedestrian and we’re toothless up top and out wide.

I think we need at least 5 signings, two fullbacks, a cm and two strikers

We are just so slow and lumbering all over the pitch, totally toothless. should have scored a couple but to be fair they’ve had a few chances too and look better at moving the ball than us. Come on Whites we need this.

Burstow is a must… get that pub player from LH off the pitch. Tutu for Christie… get some pace injected.

Get two up front, we've no threat at all.

I'd love to know what SS thinks as he sees that half develop, surely you don't send a team out to play like that even if your starting 11 screams caution v Burton at home.

Should be winning, but it was dire, the tactics and overall play was that of a scared team, scared of any invention, slow build up, keeper lumps, isolated front man, Lincoln winning 2-0, GJ fucks up at the back every other game and misses from 2 yards.

Tell Schumacher that he’s clearly not seeing it.

They all had a 50m sprint this morning the last eleven started tonight.......Dreadful

Doesnt seem to matter what formation or what players we put out, we are bereft of any invention and when we do actually create a good chance you just know they will find a way to fuck it up.

Burton have played a couple of two pass incisive moves and cut through us like knife through butter. It only looks like a matter of time until we ship one in.

Yeah it's absolutely haramball but I expected nothing else from this match. However, I'm going to refrain on commenting on the performance as the result is more important

Everything from Burton is coming down our left I wonder why?

Capable of better.

it’s just too slow,

There is zero pace in this starting 11 , so to beat a man we have to dance past them and we dont have those type of players either .

First time their lad got played in the usual suspect didn’t have a clue where he or their man was, looked over in desperation for Forino to come over and help him out

keeper lump or a ball forward form someone --- Dalby rather holds it up to no one near him or it's into space and it takes him 5 years to reach where the ball goes and there's feck all other players to chase it because they are all defending in their own half vs Burton

We are 3rd, they should be pinned back or at least have our front men high up the pitch, zero chance of counters, zero outlets, just hoping for a brief moment to snatch something (Dempsey/GJ miss) which was was about 30 seconds in a 46 minutes half
