Not been nervous like this for a game in a long time, don't know if I just have renewed vigor for the team because I actually like the man in charge or what, but I'm properly invested in this result.

Win and I think Top 2 is well and truly on, pressure will be right on them not to slip up again. Anything else and it means another playoff run, but I do at least think we're much better suited to the challenge that brings now than we ever have been before.

Almost mercifully, I'm at a wedding on Saturday so will likely only know the result after it happens, hopefully distract myself from the fact it's happening best I can!

Pretty much my thoughts, but take issue with the last bit.

Never have friends or family who would book a wedding on a Saturday in the footie season. Have a word.

(you've still got the rest of the day to do the decent thing and fall out with them)

Any sort of win please lads.

Under no circumstances a loss.

Ugly 1-0 win with a 97th minute undeserved penalty will do me.

McAtee - "I love playing for this club"

Cheers Cheese, great interview and I really admire the way he talks so let’s hope his current excellent form can continue?

I have only just clicked that his brother, James, is now a Forest player. £30m & a 5yr contract. Yet only 7 league appearances in this season of turmoil.

Speaks well McAtee and good to hear. If anything I think he’s guilty of trying too hard.

weird one because as fans we’ve probably all said at some point “as long as the players work hard and put a shift in…”

you can’t say he never does that yet still gets criticised.

so what we’re really saying is ‘we want players to work hard, put a shift in and show quality’

he definitely has something but he is absolutely a confidence player. Needed a run of games to build that confidence and to feel it from Schuey and the goal last week will have done him the world of good

glad he didn’t leave but he needs to continue playing the way he has recently because anything below that and we’re carrying him. Rodrigues in the wings too could put him out the picture again

Weird isn't it.

May have had an injury of course, but the lad was a promising player, and has now basically lost a season.

Agree with that, I'd just question the bit about needing a run of games.  He was playing 30 minutes here, 20 minutes there, a BSM cup match or whatever, and has consistently played better than anyone else as the 2nd striker.  It isn't a recent thing, he's hardly had a bad game this season and not many last season either.

He only needed a run of games to prove he was at that level, it was a mistake of SS for me that its taken so long to get our best strike partnership on the pitch most of the time.  Same goes for Dalby to a lesser extent (as he did get a few more opportunities, but not enough).

I've read from some McAtee is everything they hate in a Bolton player or in a footballer generally.  Its been a head scratcher for me, and I get that he might be less than squeaky clean off the pitch, and he might not be the best trainer, that's not unusual, we can all name plenty of examples.  Within reason I only care what they do on the pitch for us.

Such a huge game, can't help but think of a couple of season back when we went to Pompey and Derby and lost but we missed sitters (how tf Dion!) and chances in both and we're quite unlucky to lose them, needing a win brings a lot of pressure, we'll see what they're made of tomorrow, it's not over with a draw and we've seen what's happened to Coventry's lead, so even with a win we still need favours but what a boost it will be.

Lincoln fans super confident they will stuff us. In amongst the cat calling there are a couple of points that would support their case though, notably that apart from Stevenage, we haven’t played against a top half team in our last 14 games - and we haven’t won quite a few of those games. But they’re looking at the stats rather than our performances and don’t take account of our changed system.

Is that much different?  Stats said home wins v Orient and Burton, performances said we weren't great.  Do you think we've got less points than we deserved?

On the system, did we play wingbacks rather than wingers in many games?  Genuine question, I can't remember, but surely our system is generally 4-4-2 and we only played wingbacks 2 or 3 times (can't remember which games or whether we won, drew, lost played well or not).

Confident we will win this. On our day were the best footballing side in the league . Lets hope football comes out on top.

Forino out by all accounts. Illness

now slightly worried about the back 2 if they are keen to get the ball in

Tutu, Toal, GJ & Conway back 4 the rest the same

If so, might pick the team for SS.

Back 4, with Conway, Toal, Johnston and JOT if he’s ok (Christie if not).

Bugger, wanted a back 5 ideally. May need to shore up centre midfield in front now.

Fuck

That’s a huge blow. That back 4 looks so much weaker without him in it. Very surprised Tutu is fit seeing as it looked like a knee injury - good news though, I’d assumed he’d be out for the foreseeable.

Schuey said in his interview Tutu had got a bang on the knee rather than any muscle / ligament damage so more of a sore one. But had trained the last couple of days. a toss up for me between him & Christie. They both bring different attributes but think tutu shows were not gonna go there and try and defend our way through the game. More attacking intent
