I never seen that in real life, must only be for posh nobs. We went last year and as it's a paid event so they just give out decent pours for any you want. Meal after and there were 6 bottles for a table of 4, like I say dangerous.

Fair enuff , me either but then as Basil Fawlty would say " I wouldnt know a Bordeaux from a Claret" 

At least there is food to soak some of it up but if you are anything like me , if on a long session , when you start you cant stop . That little break in the middle might as well be a 24 hour induced coma  .

 

Sounds more like a wine quaffing than a wine tasting 😉

Used to know a guy who was a bit of a wine wanabee , but he swore by a glass of wine followed by a glass of water . Might be the way to go .

The way I get by on these things is saying "a complex flavour profile" "there's a lot happening there" or "tannins on the back of the palate". Everyone's usually making up nonsense themselves or too tipsy to care.

If I'm being honest I'd rather be drinking Boddingtons.

Clearly some bollocks spouted at times, but there are also plenty of truths about certain characteristics. 

Same applies to beer too!

Anyway, just seen a forecast, and at 3.00pm, the temp in London will be 32.

OK, we're two hours earlier, but in the bowl of Wembley, the temps may push up a few degrees more.

Not a pleasant environment to watch, let alone play the game.

Drinks breaks every 10 minutes wont do us any favours IMO but bound to happen . Didnt someone die recently of exhaustion/overheating on the pitch ? And with the World cup a month away being played in dust bowls , might as well have them all hooked up to drips on the field .

The lads in 1989 didn’t have any issues playing Torquay that was a really warm day I’m sure about 30 degrees
